Recently, spy shots of the new Xiaomi SU7 Ultra undergoing domestic road testing have surfaced. Though heavily camouflaged, the test vehicle clearly features an oversized goose-neck rear wing — delivering striking visual impact and sparking industry-wide speculation about a new performance ceiling.

Rumors suggest the model may be named the SU7 Ultra Extreme, offered exclusively as a limited edition. While official confirmation on naming and launch timing remains pending, multiple hardware upgrades visible in the spy photos strongly indicate a deep, track-focused refresh.
Exterior styling retains the SU7's signature fastback silhouette and low-slung stance, with side profile lines remaining highly consistent with the current model. The exterior mirror housings are upgraded to carbon fiber; a roof-mounted LiDAR unit is integrated; and sensor layouts on the front fenders remain unchanged — ensuring identical intelligent driving hardware configuration to the current production version. The wheels feature an all-new lightweight design, paired with eye-catching yellow fixed-caliper brakes and a carbon-ceramic braking system — underscoring its high-performance positioning.

Aerodynamics is the central focus of this refresh. The front fascia adds multiple new airflow guides; the hood retains its dual-vent cooling ducts; wheel arch vents are added to the front fenders to relieve internal pressure and reduce front-axle lift; and open-airflow structures behind the wheel arches further refine downforce distribution. Wind-tunnel tuning reportedly aligns more closely with the original SU7 prototype specifications. The rear-end upgrade is especially notable: the test car mounts a layered, widened-endplate goose-neck spoiler — reportedly integrating a DRS (Drag Reduction System) for adjustable drag control — balancing high-speed stability with cornering downforce. A larger, functionally enhanced rear diffuser complements the setup, strengthening ground effect and dynamic responsiveness.
The current SU7 Ultra already offers multiple aerodynamic package options — including no spoiler, a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing, and a three-position adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing — as well as vented or sealed carbon-fiber front hoods. Chassis options include air suspension and Bilstein EVO R racing coilovers.

On the powertrain front, Xiaomi is developing a new quad-motor system with a peak output of up to 2054 hp. The new SU7 Ultra is expected to adopt this system — surpassing 2000 hp, a significant leap from the current model's 1548 hp (one front + two rear motors). The existing model achieves 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds (excluding rollout), with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. If realized, this next-generation powertrain could set a new benchmark for production EV performance.
