Xiaomi YU7 GT Samurai Black Matte Custom Edition Arrives at Dealership, $28,000 Optional Upgrade

Recently, Xiaomi Automobile officially confirmed that the YU7 GT Samurai Black Matte Custom Edition has arrived at Beijing Factory Stores — marking the official expansion of Xiaomi's customization service to the YU7 GT model. This variant is not a standard color option but rather an integrated, personalized package exclusively developed by Xiaomi's customization program, currently in its trial operation phase.

The Samurai Black Matte paint is a newly added option under Xiaomi's customization service, available for $28,000 as a standalone upgrade — exclusively offered on customizable models such as the YU7 GT. Its process starts with a pure black base coat, layered with black pearlescent pigment and specially formulated transparent glass flakes, significantly reducing light reflection to deliver a low-saturation, high-texture matte-black visual effect. The full customization package extends beyond paint: it includes a complete carbon-fiber aerodynamic kit, exclusive GT badging, and large-diameter sport wheels; interior upgrades feature GT-branded seat embroidery; and the infotainment system adopts a dedicated Samurai Black UI theme — delivering a seamless hardware-and-software customization experience.

Xiaomi YU7 GT is positioned as a mid-to-large-size SUV, starting at ¥389,900 (¥429,900 fully loaded), representing the high-performance variant within the YU7 lineup and featuring a fastback body design. Externally, it builds upon the standard YU7 with added front splitters, side skirts, and rear diffusers; red GT badges appear on door panels and the rear; carbon-fiber exterior mirrors and a 24K gold-plated carbon-fiber emblem come standard; and the signature Droplet-shaped Headlights and full-width halo taillights retain the brand's unified design language.

The interior features the "Pengpai Five-Screen Interactive Cockpit," with standard GT sport steering wheel, Alcantara sport seats, four-seat massage function, and smart-tinting panoramic sunroof. Base color options include Track Red, Night Flame Black, and Iris Purple — but embroidery and custom UI themes are not included on standard trims.

Powertrain-wise, the YU7 GT debuts Xiaomi's new-generation Super Motor V8s EVO, paired with the V6s Plus front motor in a dual-motor setup delivering a combined output of 1,003 hp. The V8s EVO motor sees a 5.9% power increase to 450 kW, with efficiency reaching 98.38%; it's mated to a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium battery and an 897 V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform, enabling a CLTC all-electric range of up to 705 km. Chassis-wise, the vehicle features the "Xiaomi Jiaolong Chassis Master Edition," equipped with dual-valve CDC dampers and closed dual-chamber air springs — supporting independent adjustment of compression/rebound damping, ride height, and spring stiffness. The rear motor integrates an eLSD electronic limited-slip differential to optimize torque distribution between left and right wheels.

Notably, Xiaomi's customization service launched its trial operation in September 2025, with current monthly production capped at 40 units. Initially covering the YU7 Max and SU7 Ultra, the program has now extended to the YU7 GT. Customers must pay an ¥80,000 customization deposit, and total optional equipment value must meet a minimum threshold — along with a 90-day cooling-off period.
