DENZA Z9S Production Interior Revealed: 1,194 hp Tri-Motor + Fast Charging, Physical Buttons Retained

The production-spec DENZA Z9S sedan has officially debuted, revealing its all-new cabin design, refined exterior styling, and more compact dimensions. As the latest addition to the DENZA Z family, the vehicle differentiates itself from the already launched Z9 GT shooting brake variant and offers both single-motor and tri-motor AWD powertrains — further expanding the product lineup.

According to Autohome, the Z9S interior features an entirely new layout, including a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel. Instrumentation is integrated into the center console area, finished with straight-line piano-black trim. The center stack houses a large floating touchscreen, though screen size, resolution, and processor specifications remain undisclosed. Notably, physical buttons are retained below the display — dedicated to functions such as automated parking, the e³ tri-motor independent drive platform, and the DiSus intelligent chassis control system. Door-mounted speaker grilles and side-mounted air vents have also been updated. Seats feature diamond-stitching and newly designed headrests; the rear center armrest integrates a touch-sensitive display, while other seat adjustment functions and material details have yet to be revealed.

In terms of dimensions, the Z9S measures 5,090 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm. Compared to the DENZA Z9 sedan, it is 145 mm shorter, 10 mm narrower, 28 mm lower, and has a 100 mm shorter wheelbase. Externally, the car features a roof-mounted LiDAR, split LED headlights (upper strip + lower main lighting units), redesigned door handles, black window surrounds, large-diameter wheels with yellow brake calipers, restyled taillights, and a reworked rear bumper. It also integrates the BYD 'God's Eye B' LiDAR-based driver-assistance system — though software capabilities, sensor specs, and LiDAR operational logic remain undisclosed. The 'Flash Charging' badge on the rear confirms compatibility with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery fast-charging technology.

Powertrain options include two configurations: a single-motor version delivering peak output of 370 kW (496 hp), paired with a 102.326 kWh battery pack and achieving up to 920 km CLTC all-electric range; and a tri-motor AWD version built on the e³ platform, producing a combined maximum output of 890 kW (1,194 hp), also equipped with the same 102.326 kWh battery pack and offering a CLTC range of 780 km. Torque figures and charging rates for both powertrains remain undisclosed.

Data shows that DENZA brand sold 18,631 units in June 2026, including 6,952 D9 units and 6,025 Z9 GT units. With the addition of the Z9S, the brand aims to further strengthen its competitiveness in the premium new-energy sedan segment.
