DENZA N8L DM Flash-Charge Edition Launches: 430 km EV Range, 1,550 km Total Range

Equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and 5-minute flash-charging tech, this PHEV SUV redefines range anxiety

Addressing the long-standing core pain point of plug-in hybrid vehicles—limited all-electric range—DENZA introduces the all-new N8L DM Flash-Charge Edition as a comprehensive solution. Officially launched in 2026, this model achieves a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 430 km and a total combined range of 1,550 km. It also marks the world’s first mass-production application of BYD’s latest flash-charging technology—‘fully charged in 5 minutes, fully topped up in 9 minutes’—significantly easing users’ range anxiety for both daily commutes and long-distance travel.

This breakthrough stems from deep integration and energy-density optimization of the second-generation Blade Battery. Compared to its predecessor, the new battery pack delivers approximately 18% more usable capacity within the same physical volume—and supports peak charging power of up to 230 kW. Coupled with standard dual-gun DC fast-charging ports across all trims, the vehicle enables highly efficient charging at mainstream public fast-charging stations, fundamentally shifting PHEV users away from the ‘only fuel-efficient when charged’ mindset.

In terms of features, the DENZA N8L DM Flash-Charge Edition comes standard with electric wide-step pedals, a 50-inch AR-HUD, a 17.3-inch narrow-bezel central touchscreen, and a 13.2-inch front-passenger entertainment display. It also debuts the Honor CarLink smartphone interoperability system—enhancing Android ecosystem compatibility. Interior materials are upgraded: synthetic-leather seats include headrest-mounted speakers; second-row seats feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions; third-row legroom accommodates two fists of clearance; and a newly added 55L hidden under-floor storage compartment boosts practicality for diverse family use cases.

The powertrain retains the 2.0T engine plus front-and-rear triple-motor architecture, delivering 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 3.7 seconds. Standard equipment includes dual-chamber air suspension and an integrated active steering system (with ±10° rear-wheel steering), tuned for stable, comfortable handling. For intelligent driving, the vehicle is equipped with the ‘God’s Eye’ 5.0 system—fusing data from 31 sensors—to support urban NOA and highway navigation-assisted driving, covering mainstream high-level ADAS functions.

The new model launches in two trims, with official retail prices of ¥319,800 and ¥349,800 respectively. While pricing sees a modest increase over the previous generation, key upgrades focus squarely on four pillars: battery technology, charging capability, cockpit interactivity, and chassis hardware—marking a structural leap in overall product competitiveness. Nationwide deliveries have already commenced, and customers can place orders immediately.
