BYD Fangchengbao Fangcheng S GT Official Images Unveiled! New Shooting Brake Launches in Q3

BYD Fangchengbao has officially unveiled the official images of the Fangcheng S GT—the first shooting brake model in the Fangcheng S family. It joins the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng SL sedans to form a new sedan product lineup, with the full series scheduled to launch in Q3 2024.

The new model retains the signature low-slung, wide-body proportions of a shooting brake. Its front end features sharp, sculpted lines, narrow LED headlights, a sporty front lip, and a three-dimensional air intake. The roofline flows smoothly into the rear in a sleek fastback profile, complemented by large-diameter wheels and red brake calipers. At the rear, a full-width taillight bar pairs with an expansive aerodynamic diffuser—delivering visual impact comparable to the Zeekr 001 and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.

Interior design and powertrain specifications remain unannounced. However, following Fangchengbao’s technical roadmap, the vehicle is expected to feature BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, ultra-fast charging, dual powertrain options (plug-in hybrid and pure electric), the ‘God’s Eye’ intelligent driving system, and a premium smart cockpit. Its key competitors include the Zeekr 001 and NIO ET5T—domestic high-performance shooting brakes.
