The all-new DENZA mid-to-large-size BEV sedan Z9S will officially launch on September 23, 2026. As a compact derivative of the DENZA Z9 lineup, the Z9S has already opened pre-orders, offering three trim levels priced between ¥319,800 and ¥389,800.

According to official disclosures, the Z9S offers three battery and range configurations: The entry-level variant features a 102.326 kWh battery pack delivering a CLTC range of 920 km; the Flagship trim mounts a larger 122.496 kWh battery, achieving a class-leading CLTC range of 1,100 km; while the top-tier e3 Edition — though also equipped with the 102.326 kWh battery — delivers a CLTC range of 780 km due to differences in powertrain tuning. The 1,100 km figure sets a new global record for the longest published CLTC range among production EVs, surpassing the previous benchmark held by the DENZA Z9 GT (1,036 km).
The vehicle measures 5,090 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm. Its fastback styling emphasizes low drag, featuring a split-headlight design, full-width front fascia, and two-piece front lip. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit is integrated, and the front trunk offers 120 L of storage. Exterior color options include Dawn Purple and Fjord Green — seven hues total — with wheel sizes spanning 19–20 inches. The rear end adopts slender LED taillights and an active electric rear spoiler.
The interior centers on an enveloping cockpit layout, standard with Nappa leather seats and suede headliner. Highlights include a magnetic passenger-side panel (compatible with tablets, headphones, and other accessories), a 7-inch rear center console touchscreen (controlling climate, lighting, and infotainment), 44 total storage compartments across the cabin, and a base trunk capacity of 470 L — expandable via folding rear seats.
For intelligent driving, the Z9S deploys the 'Tianshenzhiyan B' system powered by the '5.0 Large Model', enabling urban NOA, highway NOA, and full-scenario automated parking. Its body employs a steel-aluminum hybrid structure, with high-strength steel and aluminum accounting for 91.1% of materials, yielding a torsional rigidity of 45,036 N·m/deg.
Powertrain options include a single-motor RWD configuration (max output: 370 kW) and a tri-motor AWD setup (combined max output: 890 kW). All variants come standard with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and the e3 technology platform — featuring rear-wheel steering (minimum turning radius: 4.75 m), 'Crab Walk Mode', and the DiSus-A intelligent air suspension system.
