LYNK & CO 02 Receives Major Upgrade: 800V Architecture + LiDAR, Launching in China Q3 2026

A major technical refresh is coming to LYNK & CO's compact crossover coupe — the LYNK & CO 02. The upgraded model is set to officially enter the Chinese market in Q3 2026 under a new name: "Lynk & Co 20". This update centers on two pillars — electrification and intelligence — introducing, for the first time, an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and a roof-mounted LiDAR, marking a pivotal step forward for LYNK & CO in both high-performance BEV architecture and advanced driver-assistance systems.

The vehicle originally debuted in China in December 2024 as the "LYNK & CO Z20". According to China EV DataTracker, cumulative deliveries have reached 47,723 units to date. Overseas versions retain the original "LYNK & CO 02" name. This upgrade is not a full model replacement but rather a mid-cycle enhancement focused on platform and ADAS capability improvements.

Zhou Xin, Executive Vice President of Sales at LYNK & CO, confirmed via his Weibo account, the new model will adopt the 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and support 6C DC fast charging — meaning peak charging power can reach six times the battery's capacity. Under optimal conditions, this enables rapid high-percentage energy replenishment; however, specific range and charging time figures remain undisclosed.

On the intelligence front, the vehicle will be equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR, likely enabling compatibility with GEELY's in-house G-ASD G-Pilot H5 or H7 ADAS systems. The H7 system is built around a single NVIDIA Thor AGX chip delivering up to 700 TOPS of peak compute, supporting urban NOA (Navigation-guided Driving Assistance) and highway NOA, plus D2D automated parking (capable of recognizing multi-level underground garages, roundabouts, and entry/exit barriers). The H5 variant uses dual NVIDIA Drive Orin chips, offering 508 TOPS of compute.

Exterior styling receives subtle refinements, including redesigned front and rear bumpers and a sportier roof-mounted spoiler. Dimensions stand at 4495 × 1845 × 1573 mm, with a wheelbase of 2755 mm. Powertrain features a rear-mounted single motor producing a maximum output of 245 kW (329 hp), powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery — though battery capacity has not yet been disclosed. For reference, the current LYNK & CO Z20 offers two battery options — 51.2 kWh and 61.47 kWh — paired with motors rated at 175 kW and 250 kW respectively, priced between ¥109,900 and ¥150,900.
