Mercedes-Benz EQ GLC SUV to Launch Pre-Orders on June 5 — 700 km Range, 320 kW Fast Charging

Mercedes-Benz has announced that the all-new long-wheelbase all-electric EQ GLC SUV will open pre-orders on June 5 and officially launch in July. The vehicle made its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show and is the first mid-size all-electric SUV built on Mercedes-Benz’s EVA2 platform.

The new model features a fresh design language: its front fascia integrates a luminous grille with 942 polycarbonate backlight particles, enabling dynamic lighting effects; the star-shaped DRLs and贯穿-style rear taillights both incorporate brand emblem elements; the vehicle measures 4,933 mm in length and 3,027 mm in wheelbase—surpassing the combustion-engine long-wheelbase GLC—and adds a new 128-liter front trunk. Inside, a seamless horizontal dual-screen cockpit features 1,000-zone LED backlighting with independent dimming for driver and passenger zones; it debuts the ‘Xiao Ben’ AI assistant powered by the Doubao large language model, supporting Cantonese and other Chinese dialects; and offers an optional six-seat configuration with ventilated and heated second-row captain’s chairs. Its powertrain is built on an 800V architecture, equipped with an 85.5 kWh ternary lithium battery, delivering over 700 km CLTC range and peak charging power of 320 kW—enabling a 10–80% charge in just 22 minutes.
