Exeed EX6 Official Images Revealed: LiDAR + 1.5T PHEV, Launching Q3 2026

Borderless Front Fascia, Full-Coverage ‘Blue Indicator Lights’, Dual Upgrades in Intelligence and Hybrid Power

Recently, Exeed officially unveiled the EX6’s first official images. Positioned as a midsize intelligent plug-in hybrid SUV, the EX6 is scheduled to launch in Q3 2026. As Exeed’s latest PHEV SUV following the Yao Guang C-DM, the EX6 not only carries forward the brand’s signature design language but also marks a significant leap in intelligent driving hardware — featuring a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and ‘blue indicator lights’ integrated into the front daytime running lamps, side mirrors, and taillights to signal ADAS status, signaling that its high-level autonomous driving capability has entered mass-production readiness.

Exterior styling features a new borderless grille with a honeycomb texture, paired with a full-width LED DRL strip and a split-headlamp design — enhancing visual width and technological presence. The side profile boasts clean, flowing lines, with two wheel options: 19-inch and 20-inch alloys, supporting tire sizes 225/55 R19, 235/55 R19, and 245/50 R20. The official image shows multi-spoke two-tone wheels with red brake calipers, underscoring strong sporty appeal. At the rear, a minimalist贯穿-style taillight dominates, complemented by a high-mounted stop lamp and refined light-strip details; blue indicator lights are seamlessly integrated on both sides of the taillight assembly for full-scenario ADAS status visualization.

Powertrain-wise, the EX6 will adopt a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers peak output of 115 kW. Drawing from the same platform as the Exeed Yao Guang C-DM, its front-wheel-drive variants offer motor outputs of either 150 kW or 165 kW, while the all-wheel-drive version uses dual motors (front: 165 kW, rear: 175 kW). The EX6 is expected to offer similar powertrain configurations. Regulatory filings confirm a five-seat layout, with both FWD and AWD variants anticipated. Pure-electric range and combined fuel consumption figures remain pending official release.

Notably, although pricing and trim details have yet to be announced, the EX6’s hardware redundancy — including the roof-mounted LiDAR and full-coverage blue indicator lights — clearly targets support for both urban and highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot). Amid accelerating intelligence-driven evolution across China’s PHEV market in 2026, the EX6 could redefine the ‘intelligence-value benchmark’ for midsize hybrid SUVs.
