Genesis GV90 Unveiled: Flagship BEV SUV Redefines Mobile Luxury

Neolun Edition features world's first B-pillar–free suicide doors; 310-mile range, 657 hp

Unveiled globally in San Francisco, the Genesis GV90 marks the formal entry of this decade-old Korean luxury brand into the top-tier luxury segment. As the first flagship SUV built on Genesis's all-new eMP dedicated electric platform, the GV90 not only sets a new group record with its 208.1-inch (5,285 mm) length but also redefines the concept of a 'mobile private lounge' through multiple world-first technologies.

The most striking feature is the Neolun Edition's 'Neolun Arch Gate' — the world's first independently operable B-pillar–free suicide door system. Combined with a full-vehicle 12-airbag roof airbag system, genuine wood heated flooring, and an integrated rear-seat refrigerator, the GV90 elevates cabin experience to an unprecedented level. When parked, the front seats rotate 180 degrees to face the rear, creating a face-to-face lounge configuration.

The interior features a retractable 23.6-inch OLED cinema display that extends to 24.6 inches at rest; replacing the traditional instrument cluster is a 25-inch AR-HUD projecting information directly onto the windshield. The new Pleos Connect infotainment system is built on Android Automotive OS and integrates the Gleo AI voice assistant, enabling natural-language interaction and contextual service activation.

Under the hood, the GV90 packs a 123.5 kWh battery pack — the largest capacity yet across the Hyundai Automotive Group. In CLTC testing, the 7-seat variant delivers approximately 500 km (310 miles) of range. It supports up to 350 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in just 22 minutes. Its dual-motor AWD system delivers a combined peak output of 490 kW (657 hp) and 800 N·m of torque — the most powerful electric vehicle ever produced by the Hyundai Automotive Group.

In terms of trim, the GV90 is offered in two body styles: Standard (conventional suicide doors) and Neolun (B-pillar–free suicide doors). The limited Neolun First Edition debuts with three gradient paint finishes and interiors featuring authentic wool-cashmere trim plus an exclusive crystal emblem. Standard equipment across all trims includes a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D audio system, multi-zone ambient lighting, and Remote Smart Parking Assist Gen 3.

Pricing has not yet been officially announced by Genesis. However, according to disclosures made at the 2026 CEO Investor Day, the standard GV90 is expected to start around $100,000 in the U.S. market. Due to its exclusive features, the Neolun Edition's starting price is projected to exceed $150,000. Hyundai Automotive Group CEO José Muñoz emphasized that the GV90 is merely the starting point of Genesis's ten-year technology roadmap — the brand reached one million cumulative sales in just 7 years and 8 months, faster than Lexus (9 years) and Tesla (12 years).
