On July 24, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially announced the first over-the-air (OTA) update for its large SUV, Huajing S. This upgrade targets high-frequency family travel scenarios, introducing nine new intelligent scenario modes: Motion Sickness Relief, In-Cabin Air Purification, One-Touch Ventilation, Rain/Snow Mode, Winter Warmth Mode, Movie-Watching Mode, Power-Saving Mode, Women's Mode, and Baby Care Mode. It also optimizes over a dozen features — including child-forgetfulness alerts, front/rear seat synchronization, and rear AC panel anti-misoperation — further reinforcing Huajing S's positioning as a 'smart family mobility companion'.
Notably, the newly introduced 'Motion Sickness Relief Mode' addresses a common pain point in long-distance family trips. By enabling full-vehicle chassis comfort control, it intelligently coordinates drive, braking, and suspension systems to dynamically optimize vehicle posture — enhancing ride stability and comfort. No manual adjustments are required; users simply activate it with one tap, showcasing Huawei's deep integration of its 'Smart Full-Stack Solution' into scenario-based human-machine interaction.
Built on the Tianyu Architecture L platform, Huajing S comes standard with Huawei's intelligent cockpit and core intelligent driving components — representing a flagship outcome of the deep collaboration between SAIC-GM-Wuling and Huawei. The vehicle is currently offered in four trims, priced between ¥159,800 and ¥203,800.
In terms of hardware, Huajing S measures 5,235 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. Four exterior colors are available: Obsidian Black, Jade White, Agate Gray, and Amber Blue. Its design features a closed front grille paired with Intelligent-Eye Sharp Vision headlights, and full-width Aurora Wing taillights at the rear. The two-tier, drop-down trunk offers 423 L of standard capacity — expandable to 1,268 L — balancing practicality and distinctive styling.
Powertrain-wise, the vehicle adopts Lingxi Power 3.0 plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5T engine with electric motors. Front-wheel-drive single-motor variants deliver up to 200 kW motor output, paired with either a 31 kWh or 41.9 kWh battery pack — offering CLTC all-electric ranges of 200 km and 255 km respectively, and WLTC combined ranges of 1,133 km and 1,145 km. Dual-motor all-wheel-drive models feature front/rear motors rated at 200 kW and 186 kW respectively, equipped with the 41.9 kWh battery pack — delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 235 km and a WLTC combined range of 1,020 km. The chassis employs a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension setup, complemented by electronically controlled adaptive dampers, EHBI intelligent braking control, and REPS power-assisted steering — achieving a minimum turning radius of 5.85 m (reduced to 5.65 m with steering assist enabled).
