GAC Trumpchi’s all-new plug-in hybrid MPV family reaches a pivotal milestone—the Trumpchi Xiangwang M8 PHEV L and Xiangwang E8 PHEV are confirmed to launch officially on June 11, 2026. Both models are now open for pre-orders, marking the full rollout of GAC Trumpchi’s strategic positioning in the mid-to-large-size new-energy family MPV market.

The Xiangwang M8 PHEV L is positioned as a flagship luxury seven-seater MPV, offered in three trims: Pro, AWD Max, and AWD Ultra. All variants come standard with Momenta’s advanced driver-assistance system and are equipped with a 44.568 kWh CATL Xiaoyao ternary lithium battery. Its dimensions measure 5264 × 1898 × 1848 (1829) mm, with a wheelbase of 3070 mm. It adopts the ‘Yi Pin Qilin’ design language and features dual power sliding doors, ISD intelligent interactive taillights, and multi-spoke premium alloy wheels.
For intelligent hardware, the vehicle integrates one LiDAR, 12 ultrasonic sensors, three millimeter-wave radars, and 11 cameras—enabling urban NDA navigation-assisted driving and automated valet parking. The cockpit features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 17.3-inch central touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, running the ADIGO SENSE end-to-cloud large model, supporting smartphone connectivity and Sentry Mode.
Seating is arranged in a 2+2+3 layout; zero-gravity second-row seats are standard across all trims except Pro. The AWD Ultra adds a second-row armrest control screen, multi-mode seat massage, and third-row heating. Powertrain-wise, it uses a 1.5T engine (max output: 125 kW, peak torque: 245 N·m). The FWD variant delivers a combined output of 330 kW and offers 248 km of pure-electric range; the AWD Ultra achieves 410 kW combined output and 235 km of pure-electric range, plus dual-valve SDC electromagnetic suspension.
In contrast, the more youth-oriented and tech-forward Xiangwang E8 PHEV redefines the compact premium family MPV segment with dimensions of 5000 × 1900 × 1778 mm and a 3000 mm wheelbase. Its horizontal front and rear lighting signature, paired with a trapezoidal chrome grille, delivers strong visual impact. A roof-mounted LiDAR is optional, while mechanical door handles balance reliability and cost efficiency.
The interior continues the dual focus on intelligence and comfort: standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen. Second-row seats feature ventilation, heating, and massage functions, along with fold-out tables, a triple-zone refrigerator, and a 17.3-inch rear-seat entertainment screen. Its powertrain pairs the 4A15J4 1.5T engine (125 kW max output) with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack—prioritizing long-term durability and cost-effectiveness.
