On September 14, WEY officially announced the launch of pre-orders for its all-new mid-to-large-size plug-in hybrid MPVs — the Gaoshan8 PHEV Wisdom Edition and Gaoshan9 PHEV Wisdom Edition. Customers who pay a ¥5,000 deposit can redeem it for ¥8,000 toward final vehicle payment. Both models target premium family and business use cases and are scheduled to launch in 2027; final pricing and delivery timelines have not yet been disclosed.

Design Upgrade: Two-Tone Body Colors + Family Design Language

The new models continue the "Gaoshan Flow" design philosophy, featuring a full-width mountain-and-river grille and an enveloping lighting cluster — significantly enhancing visual cohesion. The Gaoshan8 PHEV Wisdom Edition introduces a new Lustrous Emerald Green color option; the Gaoshan9 PHEV Wisdom Edition offers Lustrous Imperial Purple. Dimensions: Gaoshan8 measures 5280 × 1960 × 1900 mm (L×W×H) with a 3145-mm wheelbase; Gaoshan9 measures 5410 × 1960 × 1890 mm with a 3275-mm wheelbase. A clean, horizontal character line runs along the side into the rear, paired with multi-spoke wheels and abundant chrome accents to reinforce its business-oriented presence. The rear features a full-width taillight, brand logo, and large rear spoiler — delivering strong visual layering.

The T-shaped zone integrates wireless charging and dual cup holders for everyday practicality.

Rear-seat experience is further elevated: the Gaoshan9 includes co-rail sliding tracks for second- and third-row seats plus dual zero-gravity rotating seats; the Gaoshan8 offers a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen and ventilated/heated third-row seats. Notably, both models come standard with the Coffee Pilot 4 driver-assistance system, NVIDIA Thor-U chip, and front-and-rear dual laser radars — placing their intelligent hardware specs among the industry's best.

Powertrain & Range: Hi4 Architecture Delivers Over 265 km Pure-EV Range

Per prior regulatory filings, the Gaoshan8 PHEV Wisdom Edition pairs a 1.5T four-cylinder engine with a dual-motor system: engine max power is 125 kW, system combined output is 357 kW, and combined torque reaches 644 N·m. It uses a 53.9-kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of 270 km and a combined range of 1,199 km. The Gaoshan9 PHEV Wisdom Edition employs a 2.0T engine plus dual-motor Hi4 powertrain: engine max power is 175 kW, dual-motor total output is 458 hp, combined torque is also 644 N·m, and battery capacity remains 53.9 kWh — yielding a CLTC pure-electric range of 265 km and a combined range of 1,166 km. The Gaoshan9 also features an all-aluminum suspension and agile steering system.
