Li Auto has completed MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) filing for its all-new flagship battery electric vehicle (BEV) SUV — the Li Auto i9. As the second BEV model in the 'Home' series following the Li MEGA, the i9 is scheduled to officially debut in September 2026, with deliveries expected to begin as early as late that month.
Exterior styling carries forward Li Auto's signature 'i'-series design language: a fastback-style A-pillar, two-tone body color scheme, and a ring-shaped LED daytime running light positioned beneath the windshield; main headlamps are integrated into the left and right sides of the front bumper. Overall dimensions measure 5,225 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,752 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,168 mm — 140 mm longer and 118 mm longer in wheelbase than the current i8. The vehicle also features four LiDAR units and semi-concealed door handles.
The interior prioritizes spaciousness and comfort, benchmarking against the Li MEGA. The second-row seats are zero-gravity electric rotating units offering three modes: 45° welcome, 90° cinema viewing, and 180° face-to-face seating — enhancing family travel and multi-scenario interaction.
Powertrain adopts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout, with maximum outputs of 150 kW (201 hp) and 250 kW (335 hp), respectively. The battery pack — a ternary lithium unit supplied jointly by CATL and Sunwoda — is paired with an 800V high-voltage architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging technology. Official claims state it can replenish up to 400 km of CLTC range in just 10 minutes. Equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack, the CLTC all-electric range is expected to exceed 800 km.
In the market, the Li Auto i9 will fill the brand's gap in the premium BEV SUV segment above ¥400,000, positioning itself directly against the AITO M9 BEV variant and NIO ES8 BEV variant.
