JEEP Grand Wagoneer 4xe and RAM 1500 EREV Delayed Again: Production Pushed to 2027

The all-new JEEP Grand Wagoneer extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and RAM 1500 REV extended-range electric pickup continue to see their launch timelines slow down. According to Automotive News, both models face a new round of delays — RAM 1500 REV is now expected to go on sale around April 2027, while JEEP Grand Wagoneer EREV's production start has been pushed to November 2027, roughly six months later than originally planned.

Stellantis had previously revised RAM 1500 REV's launch schedule multiple times and officially canceled its original battery-electric version in 2025. The automaker shifted focus to the extended-range electric powertrain instead; the vehicle was initially codenamed "Ramcharger" and is positioned as Ram's first extended-range electric pickup. Meanwhile, JEEP emphasized that the 2026 Grand Wagoneer EREV was intended to debut as the first flagship extended-range electric SUV in the U.S. market — but this 'first-to-market' milestone has now effectively been ceded to competing offerings.

Per official Stellantis disclosures, the Grand Wagoneer EREV packs a 92 kWh battery pack and a 3.6-liter V6 engine driving a 130 kW generator, delivering a combined range of 500 miles (~805 km). System output is rated at up to 647 hp and peak torque of 620 lb-ft (~840 N·m), with a 0–60 mph acceleration time of approximately 5 seconds.
