BYD Han EV to Begin Pre-orders: Larger Than Mercedes Benz S Class, CLTC Range Up to 1,008 km

The Chengdu Auto Show — opening in just three days — will serve as the world premiere stage for BYD Dynasty Network's new flagship model: the Da Han EV. The vehicle is set to officially begin pre-orders during the show. As Dynasty Network's largest sedan to date, it measures 5,256 mm in length and boasts a wheelbase of 3,130 mm — 24 mm longer than the current standard-wheelbase Mercedes Benz S Class (wheelbase approx. 3,106 mm), fully surpassing traditional German D-segment luxury sedans in overall dimensions.

Exterior design continues Dynasty Network's 'Dragon Face Aesthetics' language: the front features a full-width LED light strip embedded in a dark-tinted trim panel, paired with elongated, sharp headlamps; the side profile emphasizes a long hood and a fastback roofline, complemented by a two-tone body and multi-spoke floating wheels — some enthusiasts liken its visual proportions to the Porsche Panamera. The rear retains BYD's signature three-section Chinese-character taillights and clean lower bumper design.

In terms of powertrain and range, the Da Han EV will offer both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. Its all-electric system integrates a 102.3 kWh second-generation Blade Battery and a 1,000V high-voltage fast-charging platform. The RWD version delivers a peak motor output of 370 kW; the AWD variant pairs front and rear motors for a combined output of 570 kW, achieving 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h. CLTC all-electric range spans multiple trims: up to 1,008 km for the RWD version and 880 km for AWD — with additional options including 820 km, 850 km, and 970 km. Exact configuration-to-range mapping will be unveiled at the show.

Charging efficiency stands out as another key highlight: battery state-of-charge rises from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes — even in extreme cold down to −30°C, only about three extra minutes are needed. Paired with BYD's megawatt-level flash chargers, the refueling experience promises to closely mirror that of conventional fueling.

For chassis and intelligent driving, the Da Han EV is expected to come standard with DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, CDC electromagnetic dampers, and rear-wheel steering. Drawing on logic from the same platform's other models, this combination should significantly enhance urban maneuverability and ride quality for a vehicle exceeding five meters in length. A roof-mounted LiDAR is confirmed, integrated with the 'Heavenly Eye' advanced driver-assistance system — supporting highway NOA, urban NOA, and automated parking.

Interior spy shots reveal a symmetrical layout with a triple-screen setup: 12.3-inch + 17.3-inch + 12.3-inch displays. Details include bamboo-wood trim, bamboo-woven air vents, and suede-covered A-pillars — aiming to define an Eastern interpretation of luxury distinct from traditional German leather-and-wood motifs.
