One year after the launch of the third-generation Audi Q3, Audi has officially unveiled the images of the 2026 Q3. This facelift is not a full model change but centers on comprehensive feature upgrades — available across both standard SUV and Sportback body styles — and continues to offer gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options. The new model is scheduled to enter production in early September 2026, with a starting price of €46,100 (approximately ￥357,000).
Subtle Exterior Updates, Digital Lighting Takes Center Stage
The 2026 Q3 retains the current design language overall but intensifies blacked-out styling for enhanced sportiness. The front end features programmable digital matrix LED headlights, supporting adaptive steering, road surface projection, and intelligent glare-free functionality; daytime running light patterns are also customizable. The taillights likewise support dynamic programming, while the rear badge features self-illuminating lighting — boosting both visibility and high-tech appeal.
Cabin Revolution: First-Ever 10.9-Inch Front Passenger Display
The interior upgrade is the highlight of this refresh. For the first time, the vehicle introduces a dedicated 10.9-inch front passenger display, complementing the 11.9-inch fully digital instrument cluster and 12.8-inch central touchscreen to form a three-screen interactive layout. Head-up display, rearview camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and front seat heating are all standard. The MMI infotainment system has been updated to support more native applications — enabling independent operation without smartphone connectivity. The Audi voice assistant now covers broader vehicle-control scenarios, and the steering wheel adds a scroll-wheel shortcut button. Wireless charging output increases from 15 W to 25 W, and three USB-C charging ports are added in the rear.
Powertrains & Electrification: PHEV Delivers 120 km WLTP All-Electric Range
Powertrain architecture remains unchanged: gasoline variants include a 1.5T mild-hybrid (with cylinder deactivation), plus 110 kW, 150 kW, and 195 kW versions of the 2.0T four-cylinder engine — the higher-output models paired with quattro all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. Diesel models deliver up to 110 kW. The plug-in hybrid variant packs a 25.7 kWh battery, achieving a WLTP all-electric range of 120 km. Its 1.5T PHEV system delivers a combined output of 200 kW and peak torque of 400 N·m, supports 50 kW DC fast charging, and achieves a 10–80% state-of-charge replenishment time of under 30 minutes. Maximum towing capacity for PHEV models rises to 2,000 kg — up 600 kg versus the previous generation.
Optional Packages and Advanced Driver Assistance Evolve Further
The new Q3 offers three tiered tech packages — Tech, Tech Plus, and Tech Pro — featuring suspension tuning, acoustic glass, Sonos premium audio, and electric lumbar support. Adaptive cruise control now leverages big data to dynamically optimize following distance and speed strategies. The remote parking assist function includes strengthened privacy safeguards, ensuring user data remains locally encrypted and never transmitted externally.
