كيا PV7 الكهربائية ذات الصندوق المغلق تظهر في اختبارات الطريق: إطلاقها مقرر عام 2027، وأبعادها تفوق بكثير أبعاد PV5

Kia's new electric convertible, the PV7, has been spotted on the streets of South Korea, generating considerable interest. As the second mass-produced model on Kia's PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) platform, the PV7 is slated for official market launch in 2027 and is positioned as a fully electric commercial vehicle, larger than the current PV5 model.

The latest road test video reveals the PV7's massive body – the wheelbase stretches almost across the entire idling belt, making the truck it's towing on the platform look tiny in comparison. Footage from observers suggests the vehicle is noticeably longer and wider, significantly increasing the interior space available for cargo and passengers. As for the exterior design, speculation indicates the PV7 may feature two charging ports: one at the front, similar to the PV5, and a second, hidden port near the rear passenger door.

Based on the PV7 Concept showcased at CES 2024, its dimensions are 5270 mm in length, 2065 mm in width, and 2120 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3390 mm. The current PV5 Passenger model measures 4695 x 2895 x 1915 mm and has a wheelbase of 2995 mm—a significant increase in both length and wheelbase. While information regarding the smart cabin system remains officially unconfirmed, there is speculation that it may be equipped with Hyundai 's Pleos software and infotainment systems .

Under the plan, Kia will introduce the larger PV9 model in 2029, and aims to achieve total sales of 232,000 units for the PBV series by 2030.
