Hyundai

Hyundai is the core company of Hyundai Motor Group. In 2019, Hyundai ranked sixth in global automotive sales, and tenth in the Fortune Global 500 vehicle and parts industry rankings for 2020. Founded in 1967 by Chung Ju-yung, its headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea, and it is currently led by Chung Mong-koo, his son. In 2019, Hyundai sold approximately 4.42 million vehicles (excluding Kia), and operates under two passenger car brands: Hyundai and the luxury Genesis. Beijing Hyundai, a joint venture with BAIC Investment, sold 700,000 vehicles in 2019, ranking 12th among domestic automakers.
