When 'poetry and the horizon' evolves from a lyrical motif into a tangible lifestyle enabled by a vehicle, STELATOG9 is redefining the value proposition of premium box-shaped SUVs in the ¥400,000 segment. Co-developed by Huawei and BAIC, this all-new flagship SUV from Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance opened pre-orders on August 5, with a starting price of ¥439,800, and will officially launch on August 20, 2026.

Within just 72 hours of pre-order launch, STELATOG9 surpassed 15,000 orders — an exceptionally rare achievement in the box-shaped SUV segment above ¥400,000, underscoring strong consumer demand for a versatile flagship SUV that seamlessly blends urban intelligence, long-distance comfort, and outdoor adventure capability.

Exterior design breaks decisively from existing family language (e.g., STELATO S9), adopting a short front overhang and rugged, upright body-on-frame-inspired styling. Dimensions are 5,206 mm (L) × 2,050 mm (W) × 1,897 mm (H), with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. Approach angle: 23°, departure angle: 26°, maximum wading depth: 900 mm. Its side-opening tailgate supports external cargo boxes, tow hooks, and rooftop tent systems. The integrated electric rooftop tent deploys with one touch, offering dual-layer storage (2,260 L) and 260 kg load capacity, plus a built-in tailgate kitchen module enabling hot cooking, hot beverages, and water rinsing — directly addressing core camping pain points.

The interior retains Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance's 'Cosmic Triple-Screen' layout (12.3-inch digital instrument cluster + dual 17.2-inch center console and front passenger displays), powered by Huawei's latest HUAWEI HarmonySpace OS. Seating options include factory-fitted 2+3 five-seat and 2+2+2 six-seat configurations. Front-row seats feature dual zero-gravity seats as standard; the six-seat version offers independent aviation-style second-row seats with ventilation, heating, multi-level massage, and power leg rests. All trims include a forest-grade in-vehicle oxygen generation system, 17-inch rear entertainment screens, a vehicle-mounted refrigerator, and intercoms — purpose-built for long-haul and off-road use.

For intelligent driving, STELATOG9 features 38 sensors across the vehicle, including one 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR and three solid-state LiDARs. It debuts the HUAWEI Qiankun ADS 5 High-End Edition and becomes the first premium hard-body SUV developed on an L3-level autonomous driving architecture — already licensed for L3 road testing at up to 120 km/h in Beijing City.

All powertrains are built on Huawei's Whale 800V platform: The BEV variant uses a 120 kWh ternary lithium battery, delivering up to 701 km / 728 km CLTC range; the EREV variant pairs a 1.5T range extender (compatible with 92-octane gasoline) with either a 56 kWh or 75.4 kWh battery pack, offering 405 km CLTC pure-electric range and up to 1,271 km / 1,366 km total range. Dual-motor AWD delivers a combined peak output of 437 kW, achieving sub-4-second 0–100 km/h acceleration. The chassis features front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, standard dual-chamber air suspension, continuously variable damping shock absorbers, and ±12° rear-wheel steering. It also pioneers an 800V fully active, disconnectable stabilizer bar — delivering faster response and higher torque output than conventional 48V systems, optimizing both low-speed off-road agility and high-speed cornering stability.

Three trims — Max+, Ultra, and Ultra+ — are planned for STELATOG9, covering BEV/EREV powertrains and five-/six-seat layouts, with pre-order prices ranging from ¥439,800 to ¥559,800. Key competitors include FANG CHENG BAOLeopard 8, AITO M9, and TANK 700, while also delivering differentiated appeal against traditional premium ICE SUVs such as Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, and Audi Q7.
