VOYAH DREAM 9 Spotted: First MPV with Retractable Hood Emblem

800V BEV & PHEV Dual Powertrains, 120kWh Battery, Full-Range L3 Architecture — Expected Launch in H2 2026

The VOYAH DREAM 9 has been spotted in prototype form. As the flagship MPV from the VOYAH brand, the new model draws industry attention with multiple world-first design and tech features — including an electrically retractable crystal hood emblem, the first of its kind on any MPV. The emblem rises automatically upon vehicle unlock and retracts seamlessly when locked.

Exterior styling features a bold vertical waterfall chrome grille that dominates the front fascia. Dual full-color DLP headlights integrate a 'Big Dipper' matrix LED array, delivering exceptional visual identity when illuminated. Overall dimensions measure 5325 × 1998 × 1823 mm (with some variants at 1805 mm height), wheelbase stretches to 3200 mm, and curb weight reaches 3020 kg. Side profile adopts a two-tone color scheme with continuous chrome trim; optional 'VOYAH' English script can be fitted on the D-pillar. Second- and third-row windows feature liquid-crystal (LC) adaptive dimming glass, enabling one-touch switching between transparent and privacy modes.

Powertrain options include both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric (BEV) variants — both built on an 800V high-voltage architecture and equipped with CATL batteries. The PHEV version pairs a 1.5T engine with front and rear dual motors, delivering a combined peak output of 555 kW, and is equipped with a 65 kWh battery pack. The BEV variant delivers 175 kW (front) and 300 kW (rear) motor outputs, backed by a class-leading 120 kWh battery — the largest capacity currently available among production MPVs. Both versions are electronically limited to 200 km/h and come standard with 20-inch chrome wheels and 255/50R20 tires.

For intelligent driving, the Dream 9 is engineered on a full-range L3 autonomous architecture. Hardware includes the latest-generation dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR with 896 lines, complemented by three solid-state blind-spot radars. Its electronic/electrical architecture and drive-by-wire systems feature end-to-end redundancy — delivering foundational capability beyond mainstream L2+ solutions. However, actual deployment of L3 functionality remains subject to regulatory approval and supporting legislation.

The vehicle is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, with pricing anticipated to exceed RMB 500,000. Key competitors include ZEEKR 009, TOYOTA ALPHARD, and high-spec Mercedes-Benz V Class models. Since its debut four years ago, the VOYAH DREAM series has delivered over 200,000 units, achieving an average transaction price above RMB 390,000. With the Dream 9, the brand aims to break through both price and technological ceilings.
