GAC Trumpchi Yue7 Pre-orders Open: Box-Style Plug-in Hybrid SUV, Starting at RMB 171,800 with Incentives

On September 2, GAC Trumpchi officially launched pre-orders for its all-new mid-to-large-size plug-in hybrid SUV — the Trumpchi Yue7. The vehicle will be offered in four trims, with a pre-order price range of RMB 179,800–225,800; after applying pre-order incentives, the final payable price drops to RMB 171,800–217,800.

As Trumpchi's first rugged-styled plug-in hybrid SUV, the Yue7 features a 'box-style' body structure defined by straight, angular lines. Its front fascia includes an active grille and vertically stacked five-row LED headlights — designed with an 'outer square, inner circle' aesthetic. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and fender-mounted perception units are integrated, while the vehicle offers 37 factory-prepared expansion interfaces to support modular external mounting kits (including spare tire carriers and storage boxes).

The Yue7 measures 5,045 mm (including spare tire) × 2,004 mm × 1,933 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It boasts approach and departure angles of 30° and 33° respectively, and a nominal ground clearance of 230 mm (up to 310 mm under certain conditions). Wheel options include 18-inch on-road or off-road tires, plus 20-inch high-performance on-road tires. Dual-layer acoustic glass is standard on the windshield and first-row side windows across all trims; however, only the two-wheel-drive Pro trim omits dual-layer glass on second-row side windows — while all other trims feature privacy glass on second-row side windows and the rear window.

The interior adopts a rugged, straight-line layout, available in three color schemes: Slate Sand Gold, Basalt Black, and Granite Cloud White. It features a 1.1-meter full-width panoramic interstellar display, supporting five cabin themes — including Light Off-Road, Performance, and Intelligent Driving — as well as 35 functional modules, enabling over 7,000 customizable combinations. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8838 chip, paired with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and ADiGO 7.0 Galaxy Smart Cabin platform. It supports multi-protocol connectivity including CarPlay, HiCar, CarLink, and MagicRing, plus voice control ("see-and-say"), facial recognition, and Farizon control.

The powertrain combines a 1.5T engine with electric motors in a plug-in hybrid architecture. The new-generation Xingyuan PHEV engine delivers peak output of 125 kW. The single-motor variant produces up to 205 kW, while the dual-motor version reaches 425 kW — enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.2 seconds. Battery capacities are 28.3 kWh and 45.975 kWh, delivering CLTC all-electric ranges of 161 km, 261 km, and 259 km, and CLTC combined ranges of 1,252 km, 1,352 km, and 1,330 km. WLTC fuel consumption in charge-sustaining mode is 6.29 L/100 km, 6.21 L/100 km, and 6.49 L/100 km. Fast charging (30%–80%) takes 15–18 minutes, and the vehicle supports 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power output.

Under the chassis, the Yue7 employs a front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension setup, standard with a closed dual-chamber air suspension and SDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers — featuring active suspension preview. Its body structure combines unibody construction with an embedded ladder frame. Off-road hardware includes a mechanical rear differential lock, energy-based center differential lock, and nine-plus-X intelligent all-terrain driving modes — enabling a maximum wading depth of 780 mm.
