GWM H10 Officially Launched: A New 'Boxy' SUV Starting at ¥201,800

Equipped with Hi4 PHEV System; WLTC Combined Range Reaches 1,404 km — Designed for Urban Life + Light Off-Roading

On August 5, Great Wall Motors Automobile officially launched its all-new full-size SUV — the GWM H10 — offering four trims with official retail prices ranging from ¥209,800 to ¥231,800, and limited-time trade-in pricing from ¥201,800 to ¥223,800. As Great Wall Motors Automobile's first production model branded directly under the parent "Great Wall Motors" name, the H10 is officially positioned as a 'new boxy species' — blending MPV-level comfort and space, urban SUV intelligence, and light off-road capability, available in both large five-seat and six-seat configurations.

The vehicle adopts the 'Fangding Aesthetics' design language, featuring a bold, boxy silhouette. Its front fascia features progressive horizontal lines paired with matrix LED headlights inspired by ancient bronze ding vessel patterns (four modules per headlight, 2,450 lumens output, illumination range exceeding 200 meters). Dimensions measure 5,138 (or 5,299) mm × 2,050 mm × 1,970 mm, with a 3,000-mm wheelbase, 220-mm ground clearance, 24° approach angle, departure angles of 25° (six-seat) or 30° (five-seat), and a 20° breakover angle — enabling confident passage over mild unpaved terrain.

The interior features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 29-inch SR-HUD. The driver's seat offers 12-way power adjustment, ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage. The rear seats include a 17.3-inch adjustable-angle entertainment screen (five tilt settings from 90° to 110°), integrated with the Coffee AI Sound audio system (21 speakers, 7.1.4.2 channel configuration, peak output 1,560 W). Trunk capacity stands at 815 L (expandable to 1,885 L with second-row seats folded) in the five-seat version, and 316 L (expandable to 1,056 L with third-row folded) in the six-seat variant. The vehicle includes 42 storage compartments and a multi-point universal expansion dock, supporting aftermarket additions like off-road side-mounted spotlights, projectors, and cutting boards.

For intelligent driving, the H10 mounts the Coffee Pilot 3 system, backed by 27 sensors including a LiDAR, enabling full-scenario NOA and seamless end-to-end parking navigation (from parking spot to destination). It supports 3-km memory parking (100 routes, cross-floor operation, compatibility with 200+ parking types), remote parking, and trace-based reverse maneuvering. Safety-wise, it employs a 'nine-horizontal-six-vertical' cage body structure, with 80.4% high-strength steel and 41.4% hot-formed steel; critical areas use ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,000 MPa, achieving a torsional rigidity of 40,861 N·m/deg. All trims come standard with seven airbags, a 2,812-mm ultra-long side curtain airbag, and a far-side airbag.

The powertrain combines a 1.5T engine with dual electric motors in the Hi4 plug-in hybrid architecture. The engine delivers peak output of 123 kW and 243 N·m; front/rear motor outputs are 100 kW and 220 kW respectively. System-wide maximum power reaches 440 kW, with peak torque at 722 N·m, mated to a dedicated four-speed hybrid transmission. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes just 4.9 seconds. A 42.8-kWh battery pack provides a CLTC all-electric range of 232 km (or 227 km), while the CLTC combined range tops out at 1,404 km — with 15-minute fast charging adding up to 126 km of range.

In market positioning, the GWM H10 targets the ¥200,000–¥250,000 crossover segment — carving a new path between urban family-oriented six-seat SUVs (e.g., L6) and rugged 'boxy' SUVs (e.g., Fangchengbao Ti7 and BAIC Off-Road BJ60 Extended-Range). It abandons the traditional body-on-frame layout in favor of unibody construction, balancing light off-road capability with urban ride comfort — while emphasizing practical interior space and advanced intelligent driving features. Its ultimate success will hinge on how well mainstream families embrace this product philosophy: 'light camping + enhanced off-road ability + strong intelligence + spacious cabin.'
