BYD's premium brand DENZA officially launched its all-new electric supercar — the DENZA Z — at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. Pre-sales commenced immediately in the Chinese market, amassing over 1,000 global orders within just 24 hours.

According to official disclosures, the DENZA Z targets the premium segment, with a starting pre-sale price in China of RMB 680,000 (approx. USD 100,000) for the two-seat hardtop Coupe variant; the open-top Spider version and track-focused Racing version are priced at RMB 780,000 and RMB 1.18 million (approx. USD 114,700 and USD 173,500), respectively. By comparison, its European starting price is approximately £142,900 (approx. USD 184,800).
Powertrain-wise, the DENZA Z employs a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering a maximum combined output of 1,180 kW (1,582 hp). The Racing variant achieves 0–100 km/h in just 1.96 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h.
Technologically, the DENZA Z debuts three world-first applications: it is the first all-electric supercar built on the e3 platform, enabling independent torque vectoring for all four wheels; the world's first all-electric supercar equipped with magnetorheological suspension, with damping response time under 10 milliseconds; and an integrated electric drive system featuring a 15-in-1 powertrain unit, paired with the second-generation CTB Blade Battery — supporting 10–70% state-of-charge fast charging in five minutes and a peak charging power of 1,500 kW.
Design is led by BYD Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, embodying the "Pure Emotion" design language — characterized by a low-slung, wide-body stance and carbon-fiber aerodynamic components. DENZA has announced that the vehicle will attempt a top-tier lap record at Germany's Nürburgring Nordschleife this autumn.
At Goodwood, BYD Executive Vice President Li Ke stated that the company is shifting from simple export to global brand building. To support overseas expansion, BYD plans to build 6,000 flash-charging stations abroad between March 2026 and March 2027 — including 3,000 in Europe, 2,000 in the Americas, and 1,000 across the Asia-Pacific region. As of H1 2026, BYD's overseas sales reached 789,400 units, up 68% year-on-year, accounting for over 40% of the group's total sales volume.
