AMG GLE/GLS 63 S Unleashed: 603-HP V8 + 48V Mild Hybrid

Mercedes-AMG has officially unveiled the 2027 GLE 63 S and GLS 63. Both models feature the all-new M177 EVO 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine—equipped with a flat-plane crankshaft, integrated starter-generator, and 48-volt mild-hybrid system—delivering a combined output of 603 horsepower and 850 N·m of torque. The mild-hybrid system adds an extra 23 hp and 205 N·m of assistive torque.

The GLE 63 S accelerates from 0–96 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while the GLS 63 does it in 3.9 seconds; both are electronically limited to 280 km/h. Standard equipment includes the AMG Speedshift TCT 9-speed automatic transmission, 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, an electronically controlled rear differential, and the Ride Control+ air suspension—offering selectable modes including Off-Road, Sport, and Comfort. Exteriors feature exclusive AMG radiator grilles and wheels (up to 22 inches on the GLE, up to 23 inches on the GLS), while interiors upgrade to the AMG performance steering wheel and optional carbon-fiber trim. Pricing has not yet been announced.
