Xiaomi SkyNomad 90 Makes Debut at 2026 Chengdu Auto Show: Flagship Extended-Range SUV Starts Pre-order at ¥299,900

During the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, Xiaomi unveiled its all-new flagship extended-range SUV — the Xiaomi SkyNomad 90. The Max variant has officially entered pre-order, with an official starting pre-order price of ¥299,900. Positioned as a premium large seven-seat extended-range SUV, its standout feature is an industry-rare variable rear cabin architecture, designed to reimagine interior space logic across diverse use cases — including family travel, multi-passenger socializing, and outdoor adventures.

The exterior adopts an all-new design language: the front fascia retains Xiaomi's signature cross-shaped headlight layout, complemented by dragonfly-wing-style DRLs. High-beam illumination reaches up to 605 meters, while low beams deliver ultra-wide 180° coverage. The lighting cluster integrates seamlessly with the grille into a full-width panel, embossed with the 'SkyNomad' logo. The front bumper features a large trapezoidal air intake and triangular ventilation ducts. Side profile emphasizes short overhangs and long rear overhangs; the A-pillar is moved forward to maximize cabin space, yielding a wheelbase of 3,080 mm and overall dimensions of 5,285 × 1,998 × 1,825 mm.

Inside, the cabin features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 20-inch HUD, and a 16.1-inch central touchscreen running HyperOS — powered by the Qualcomm 8650 cockpit chip. It supports dynamic in-cabin voice zones and external voice interaction. The traditional center console is eliminated: front seats rotate 180°, and a sliding central island paired with a detachable multifunction table enables face-to-face seating between rows one and two — delivering up to 1.76 meters of legroom. All four seats are zero-gravity seats; heating, ventilation, and massage are standard for rows one and two, while row three includes heating. Ambient lighting offers 256 colors with diffuse emission; a 21.45-inch rear entertainment screen and a detachable 6.88-inch control display are also included.

The powertrain combines a custom 1.5T range extender (co-developed by Xiaomi and Dongan Power, max output 112 kW) with dual motors (front: 210 kW, rear: 100 kW), mated to a 76 kWh battery pack. CLTC all-electric range is 464 km; fast charging adds 285 km of range in just 15 minutes. Total CLTC combined range reaches 1,705 km, with WLTC fuel consumption at 6.26 L/100 km in charge-sustaining mode. The chassis employs a double-wishbone front suspension and H-arm independent rear suspension, with standard five-level adjustable air suspension and continuously variable damping shock absorbers.

Intelligent driving hardware includes a roof-mounted LiDAR, rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The compute platform is NVIDIA's Thor chip delivering 700 TOPS. The Xiaomi HAD XLA cognitive large model comes standard across all trims, enabling highway and urban NOA, plus valet parking.
