Subaru OUTBACK WILDERNESS Wilderness Edition Launches: Starting Price ¥359,800, Deliveries Begin Q3 2026

The Subaru OUTBACK WILDERNESS Wilderness Edition has officially launched in China via the parallel import channel, with a manufacturer-suggested retail price of ¥359,800. Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of Q3 2026. This model is neither domestically produced nor officially imported through Subaru's official channels — it enters the Chinese market exclusively via parallel import and is positioned as a special edition optimized for outdoor adventure and overlanding.

Exterior styling features an all-new aggressive front grille with matte-black treatment applied to the grille body, brand logo, and side trim strips. Distinctive 'Metallic Yellow' fog lamp bezels and roof rails further reinforce its rugged visual identity. Five exterior color options are available: River Rock Pearl Gray, Crystal Pearl White, Pearl Gemstone Black, Wilderness Blue, and Deep Jade Green. Dimensions measure 4,870 mm (L) × 1,880 mm (W) × 1,735 mm (H), with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. The roof rack offers a static load capacity of 363 kg, and the vehicle comes standard with 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires.

Inside, the cabin features a 12.1-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, supporting dual-screen synchronization and a Wilderness Edition–exclusive UI interface. Gold-accented trim pieces and bespoke badging elevate visual distinction. Standard equipment includes Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, wireless charging, and a 13-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Driver assistance is powered by Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.

Powertrain comprises a 2.4-liter horizontally opposed turbocharged engine delivering maximum output of 194 kW and peak torque of 375 N·m. It pairs with a CVT automatic transmission and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The X-Mode terrain management system offers dedicated settings for snow, dirt, and mud. Ground clearance is increased to 240 mm, and adaptive dampers are fitted to improve both off-road traction and on-road stability.
