Subaru 2027 Trailseeker EV Unveiled: 375-HP All-Electric AWD SUV Starts at $39,995

Subaru has officially revealed pricing and specifications for its 2027 Trailseeker all-electric SUV. Positioned as a "all-terrain, rugged electric SUV," the Trailseeker starts at $39,995 (excluding a $1,475 destination and delivery fee), making it the brand's most accessible high-performance BEV to date.

According to official information, the 2027 Trailseeker will be offered in three trims: Premium, Limited, and Touring. The entry-level Premium trim includes standard Subaru EyeSight driver-assistance technology, heated front seats, power liftgate, dual wireless smartphone charging, 18-inch alloy wheels, and X-MODE — a dual-mode off-road system that coordinates AWD sensors to optimize torque distribution and braking logic for enhanced traction on unpaved surfaces.

Powertrain-wise, the new model features a dual-motor AWD system delivering a combined 375 horsepower, accelerating from 0–60 mph in just 4.3 seconds — the fastest production vehicle Subaru has ever sold in the U.S. Its maximum towing capacity is 3,500 lbs. At over 6 inches longer and nearly 1 inch taller than the Solterra, the Trailseeker offers more passenger and cargo space — with a 31.3-cubic-foot cargo area, slightly larger than Tesla Model Y's 30 cubic feet and matching the 2026 OUTBACK.

For range and charging, the Trailseeker packs a 74.7-kWh battery pack, achieving up to 281 miles (≈452 km) of EPA-estimated range. It comes standard with an NACS DC fast-charging port supporting up to 150 kW peak power, enabling a 10–80% charge in as little as 28 minutes.

The interior adopts Subaru's latest design language, featuring a standard 14-inch central infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. All trims include StartTex-trimmed seats. Limited and Touring trims add upgrades including a Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic camera, 20-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, and radiant foot-warming vents. The top-tier Touring trim starts at $46,555 and offers the exclusive Daybreak Blue Pearl paint option (+$395).

Notably, the 2027 Trailseeker goes on sale this fall. Meanwhile, Subaru also announced that the more entry-level 2027 Uncharted EV will start at just $35,000. Current 2026 models — the Trailseeker, Solterra, and Uncharted EV — remain available for purchase.
