The all-electric MG 07 fastback sedan has recently launched pre-orders in the Chinese market, offering five trim levels with a pre-order price range of RMB 125,900–165,900 (approx. USD 18,600–24,500). The vehicle is slated for official launch in August 2026, with the base model's powertrain already available for delivery starting now; the high-spec variant — equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform and LiDAR — is expected to reach customers in October 2026.

According to official information, the MG 07 offers two battery options: the entry-level version uses a 67 kWh semi-solid-state battery supplied by QingTao Energy (a SAIC Motor subsidiary), delivering a CLTC range of 650 km, paired with a front-wheel-drive single motor producing a maximum output of 176 kW (236 hp) and achieving 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds. The high-spec version adopts a 91 kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL, leveraging an 800V architecture to support 5C ultra-fast charging, achieving a CLTC range of 845 km. Its motor delivers peak power of 235 kW (315 hp), cuts 0–100 km/h time to 5.9 seconds, and includes an active suspension system.
Notably, both the 610 km and 845 km variants equipped with LiDAR sensors feature Momenta's R7 intelligent driving large model and the X7 chip, enabling functions such as highway navigation-assisted driving and automated parking. All trims come standard with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and a slim LCD instrument cluster, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip. The cabin includes 34 storage compartments, ventilated/heated seats, and a 21-speaker audio system; high-spec front seats additionally offer 'zero-gravity' mode and electric leg rests.
Design-wise, the MG 07 adopts the brand's latest design language, officially described as drawing inspiration from PorschePanamera, Taycan, Jaguar F-Type, and Xiaomi SU7. Its dimensions measure 4886 × 1900 × 1478 mm, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm, offering a 168-liter front trunk and a 697-liter rear cargo bay. Semi-concealed door handles and a streamlined fastback profile further enhance its sporty character.
According to data from a China-based new energy vehicle tracking platform, MG sold 93,400 units in China during January–June 2026 — a year-on-year increase of 85.9%. Its current best-seller, the MG4 all-electric fastback, delivered 70,800 units in the first half of the year. The MG 07 aims to expand MG's presence in the mid-to-large-size all-electric sedan segment, with a station wagon variant planned for future release.
