MG 07 Production Units Arrive at Dealers Nationwide, 840km Range and 800V Platform Teased

First production-spec MG 07 units have begun arriving at authorized MG dealerships nationwide, building momentum ahead of the official pre-order launch on July 29. Final retail pricing and full specification sheets have not yet been released; only indicative target prices are currently available: the 610km version equipped with LiDAR is expected to cost less than ¥150,000, while the 840km Flagship variant is anticipated to stay within ¥180,000 (approx. $22,100 / $26,500).

As a key strategic entry into China's mid-to-high-end pure-electric sedan segment, the MG 07 has now entered its public preview phase. Mass production commenced in early July. The vehicle measures 4,886 mm × 1,900 mm × 1,478 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm. Previously leaked patent drawings suggest a long-wheelbase shooting brake variant may join the MG 07 family, though its production status remains unconfirmed.

The MG 07 will offer two voltage-platform options: the base model uses a 400V architecture, featuring a rear-mounted motor delivering up to 176 kW (239 hp) and paired with a 67 kWh semi-solid-state battery, yielding a CLTC-rated range of either 610 km or 650 km. The high-spec variant leverages an 800V high-voltage platform, with a rear motor outputting up to 235 kW (320 hp), powered by a CATL ternary lithium battery enabling an 840 km CLTC all-electric range and supporting 5C ultra-fast charging — though SAIC MG has not yet disclosed specific charging power ratings or charging times under standard conditions.

All trims come standard with mCDC intelligent electromagnetic suspension and AI-powered road-condition prediction. Higher trims add a roof-mounted LiDAR and the Momenta R7 intelligent driving system, officially claimed to support urban-level navigation-assisted driving and end-to-end 'parking-space-to-parking-space' assisted driving capabilities.

Inside, the MG 07 features a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen (powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P), an 8.88-inch fully digital instrument cluster, zero-gravity front passenger seat, a 697-liter trunk, and a 109-liter front frunk. All specifications and configurations remain subject to official confirmation at the July 29 pre-order launch.

Within MG's China EV lineup, the MG 07 will complement the MG4 EV (14,397 units sold in June 2026) and the MG 4X (4,003 units sold that month), forming a tiered product synergy. Its market timing and pricing strategy are expected to significantly influence competition among midsize pure-electric sedans market during the second half of 2026.
