Leapmotor B10 Launches in Mexico: Extended-Range Crossover Kicks Off North American Debut

Chinese EV startup Leapmotor has officially entered the North American market — its first overseas model, the B10 extended-range crossover, has begun customer deliveries in Mexico. Priced from 575,000 Mexican pesos (approximately $32,895 USD), the B10 features a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine as its range extender and delivers a combined range of 990 km (NEDC cycle), with peak output of 160 kW (215 hp).

This Mexico launch marks a pivotal step for Leapmotor, leveraging Stellantis's local engineering, manufacturing, and distribution capabilities. The B10 underwent localized validation at Stellantis's Automotive Engineering & Testing Center in Mexico before going on sale. Leapmotor has already established 28 retail stores across Mexico — including six in Mexico City — and after-sales service is handled by Stellantis' Mopar division, offering a 4-year vehicle warranty and an 8-year battery warranty.

According to official information, only one trim level is available in Mexico — the Ultra Hibrido Design — offering seven exterior colors and two interior color schemes (dark or light). Its powertrain uses a single electric motor paired with an 18.8 kWh LFP battery, delivering a pure-electric range of 98 km (NEDC) and supporting 46 kW DC fast charging (30%–80% in 19 minutes).

The vehicle measures 4530 × 1885 × 1655 mm, with a 2735 mm wheelbase, 170 mm ground clearance, and a curb weight of 1785 kg. Its fuel tank capacity is 50 liters, and its real-world energy consumption is 16.6 kWh per 100 km. The cabin features a 14.6-inch central touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; standard safety includes seven airbags plus adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Ambient lighting is also included.

Official data shows Leapmotor delivered 93,376 units in June 2026 — the highest monthly volume to date — and 356,487 units cumulatively from January to June 2026 (source: China EV DataTracker). The brand states it is on track to achieve its goal of "over one million global deliveries by end-2026." Beyond the B10, the C10 and C16 crossovers are also slated to enter the Mexican market sequentially, targeting family-oriented buyers.

Notably, the B10's German-market price is €32,400 euro (approx. $37,045 USD), reflecting regional pricing differences. As Leapmotor's first overseas foothold, the Mexico launch signifies a concrete transition — from a domestic Chinese EV newcomer to a globally recognized new-energy automotive brand.
