Yijing X9 Opens Pre-orders: From ¥299,800, Full-Range Standard Equipped with Huawei ADS 5.0 Intelligent Driving

First model from Yijing — the premium smart EV brand co-developed by Dongfeng and Huawei — exceeds AITO M9 in size yet costs ¥180,000 less

The all-new premium smart electric vehicle brand Yijing — jointly launched by Dongfeng Automobile and Huawei through deep collaboration — officially unveiled its debut model, the X9, in 2026 and simultaneously opened pre-orders. The X9 is offered in three trims, priced between ¥299,800 and ¥379,800. Its aggressive entry-level pricing has significantly undercut market expectations, drawing widespread industry attention.

As Yijing's inaugural model, the X9 is positioned as a large intelligent luxury SUV, measuring 5,301 mm in length — slightly longer than the standard-wheelbase AITO M9. Despite comparable positioning, its starting price drops sharply: ¥180,000 lower than the AITO M9 (starting at ¥479,800) and ¥160,000 below the Li L9 (starting at ¥459,800). Industry analysts suggest this strategy aims to rapidly build user awareness via high specification and low entry barriers — compensating for the new brand's lack of market heritage.

Intelligent driving capability is X9's core differentiator. All trims come standard with the HUAWEI Qiankun ADS ADS 5 intelligent driving solution — no 'crippled' variants are offered. The Ultra+ Long Range trim further adds four LiDARs: one 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade main radar plus three solid-state blind-spot radars — placing its hardware redundancy among the top tier of current production vehicles. Inside, the cabin debuts HarmonySpace 6 powered by Huawei's HarmonyOS, featuring dual 17.2-inch 3.4K butterfly-wing dual screens and introducing the AI companion robot 'Hamonmon' to enhance rear-seat interaction.

The powertrain adopts a 1.5T range-extender architecture, with the range extender delivering up to 95 kW. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations are available. Battery capacities are offered in two options: 51.46 kWh and 74.29 kWh. Under WLTC conditions, maximum all-electric range reaches 350 km, while total system range exceeds 1,200 km. The chassis is built on Huawei's Chitu platform and features an all-aluminum structure; the Ultra+ trim adds dual-chamber air suspension, CDC electromagnetic dampers, and rear-wheel steering. For safety, the body uses ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,400 MPa, and the battery pack features triple-layer armored protection at the underside.

Notably, trim differentiation is clearly defined: the Max Long Range (¥299,800) already includes core intelligent driving and e-powertrain capabilities; the Ultra+ Long Range (¥339,800) adds LiDAR fusion perception, air suspension, and rear-wheel steering; and the Flagship (¥379,800) further layers on features like a million-pixel smart projection headlight, hands-free power doors, and rhythm-synchronized seats — elevating the sense of occasion. Singer-actor Aaron Kwok attended the launch event, reinforcing the brand's youth-oriented identity and Volkswagen appeal. However, as a new entrant, Yijing's dealership rollout pace and initial delivery timelines remain key metrics for market validation.
