From June 16 to 18, China’s SUV market saw a wave of new model launches—three pivotal models debuted within three days, covering mid-to-large-size battery-electric vehicles, D-segment flagship SUVs, and refreshed A+-segment models, each distinguished by unique tech specs and positioning.

On June 17, BYD’s Dynasty Network unveiled its first D-segment flagship SUV—the Da Tang EV—in Xi’an. As a brand-new 2026 model, it offers three variants: rear-wheel drive with 800 km range, rear-wheel drive with 950 km range, and all-wheel drive with 850 km range, priced from ¥250,000 to ¥320,000. At 5,263 mm long with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, it delivers class-leading interior space. Standard features include the ‘God’s Eye’ 5.0 intelligent driving system, Yunian-A adaptive air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and crab-walking mode. Powered by BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology, its CLTC range reaches up to 950 km; the AWD version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The cabin features a 50-inch AR-HUD, a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted display, and a Devialet 27-speaker audio system—setting a new benchmark for flagship SUV experience.
