AITO M7 Debuts at 2026 Chongqing Auto Show: The Happiness Flagship Chosen by Over 450,000 Families

Spacious Six-Seat Layout, Huawei ADS 4 Intelligent Driving, and C-NCAP Super Five-Star Safety Take Center Stage

On June 13, the 28th Chongqing International Automobile Exhibition opened grandly at the Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Themed “Intelligence Ignites a New Journey, Trends Lead the Future,” this year’s show attracted over 100 automotive brands and more than 1,000 vehicle models. As a homegrown Chinese premium intelligent electric SUV brand, AITO showcased its full lineup at a high-profile booth—with the all-new 2026 AITO M7, positioned as the “People’s SUV Happiness Flagship,” drawing major attention thanks to its spacious cabin, comprehensive safety, and intelligent driving capabilities.

Five-Seat Spaciousness + Six-Seat Comfort: Redefining Family Travel Comfort

In response to rising consumer demand for mid-to-large-size family SUVs, the AITO M7 leverages class-leading dimensions—5,020 mm in length, 2,820 mm wheelbase, and 1,770 mm width—to deliver exceptional interior space. It offers two seating configurations: “Spacious Five-Seat” and “Comfortable Six-Seat.” Second-row seats feature standard Nappa leather zero-gravity seats with 120° dual-zero-pressure recline, plus heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Third-row legroom reaches 800 mm and headroom 937 mm—eliminating the cramped “stool-like” experience typical of conventional six-seat SUVs.

At the show, numerous family-oriented visitors paused to experience the vehicle firsthand. One mother of two shared: “My parents have mobility issues, and my kids are energetic—sedans can’t fit us all, and MPVs feel too bulky. The M7’s welcome step, independent second-row seats, and a genuinely usable third row solve all our family travel pain points.” Young自驾 enthusiasts praised its cargo versatility: the six-seat version offers 312 L of trunk space (expandable to 1,136 L with the third row folded), while the five-seat variant delivers 850 L plus a hidden 107 L storage compartment—ideal for camping gear or even impromptu rest stops.

Mountain-City-Tuned Chassis + ADS 4 Intelligent Driving: Precision Handling Meets Safety Redundancy

In Chongqing—a city famed for its complex road conditions—the AITO M7 demonstrated exceptional engineering: front double-wishbone aluminum suspension and rear five-link independent suspension, paired with continuously variable damping shock absorbers and a dual-chamber closed-type air suspension, effectively absorb bumps and stabilize body posture. Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving System ADS 4—powered by over 30 high-precision sensors—delivers seamless, all-weather, multi-scenario perception. It excels in high-risk situations such as interchange navigation, unprotected left turns, and sudden pedestrian crossings (“ghost out”), offering linear predictive response and proactive emergency braking.

For passive safety, the passenger compartment features a 100% submarine-grade hot-formed steel frame, a ten-cell aluminum crash-absorbing beam, nine airbags plus extended side-curtain airbags, and a triple-lock unlocking mechanism. In the C-NCAP (2024 edition) tests, the AITO M7 achieved an overall score rate of 95%, with an outstanding 98.13% in occupant protection—earning its “Super Five-Star” safety certification.

As of June 2026, cumulative deliveries of the AITO M7 across all variants have exceeded 450,000 units—making it the most representative family-focused SUV in the ¥300,000 segment. During the Chongqing Auto Show (now through June 30), customers who place orders for models equipped with the 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR will receive up to ¥70,000 in purchase incentives—including optional equipment credits, comfort package subsidies, and advanced ADS feature package support.
