Volkswagen VW Yuzhong 08 Lieying Edition Launches September 12 — Pre-order Price RMB 230,000

Blackened Sport Styling + Dual-Chamber Air Suspension + 800V Ultra-Fast Charging — Smart Cockpit & Advanced ADAS Upgraded Simultaneously

The Volkswagen VW Yuzhong 08 Lieying Edition will officially launch on September 12, 2026. Pre-orders have already opened, with a pre-order price of RMB 230,000. As a high-performance sport variant of the 08 lineup, the Lieying Edition is not an all-new model but a deeply upgraded version based on the Ultra trim — emphasizing personalized styling, premium comfort, and advanced intelligent driving capabilities.

Exterior design features an exclusive Lieying package inside and out, including custom blackened alloy wheels, orange Brembo four-piston calipers, and Pirelli performance tires — complemented by full-vehicle blackened trim to heighten the sporty presence of this mid-to-large SUV.

Inside, a bold black-and-orange color scheme defines the immersive Lieying cockpit, balancing visual impact with everyday usability and passenger comfort.

In terms of equipment, the Lieying Edition builds upon the Ultra trim's existing features — including power-assisted silent doors across all four doors, dual 15-inch driver/center displays, 800V ultra-fast charging, a 12-way power-adjustable 'Queen Seat' for the front passenger, 10-point pneumatic massage for both front seats, and full-vehicle Nappa leather upholstery — and adds the Vibar double-chamber air suspension plus ZF's DCC dynamic damping control system. It also includes a 6.7L intelligent temperature-controlled quiet vehicle refrigerator (with three-mode temperature control from –5°C to 50°C, UV sterilization, and noise under 35 dB), dual folding rear seat tables, and UWB smart remote key — enabling centimeter-accurate keyless entry/exit and remote parking-in/parking-out functions.

The intelligent cockpit is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip and runs VW OS 2.2 'Yunqi' Smart Cabin System, featuring a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster paired with dual 14.96-inch 2.4K ultra-HD smart displays. The system supports customizable hybrid home screens, left/right sliding windows, floating panels, and quick-scene modes; integrates full-domain ultra-precise lane-level navigation; and hosts over 50 WeChat Mini Programs covering music streaming, video binge-watching, live broadcasting, gaming, food ordering, and ticket booking. Additional features include microphone-free karaoke and app-based vehicle locating.

For driver assistance, the Lieying Edition debuts the VLA2.0 large model, standard-equipped with dual Turing chips delivering a total AI computing power of 1500 TOPS. The system handles complex scenarios such as narrow-road passing, accident-site detours, night-market navigation, pothole avoidance on rough roads, and nighttime pedestrian detection. It enables main-road NOA roaming, as well as autonomous NOA exit-finding in residential compounds, above-ground, and underground parking lots — and can identify special road users including small animals, irregularly shaped tricycles, police cars, and ambulances.

Powertrain and range: The vehicle uses CATL battery cells with a 95kWh capacity, built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 730 km. Its single-motor setup produces a peak output of 230 kW and peak torque of 465 N·m, supporting 10–80% state-of-charge fast charging in just 20 minutes.
