2026 Chengdu Auto Show Preview: All-New Camry Spotted, Starting at RMB 131,800 with Limited-Time Incentives

On the eve of the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, the all-new TOYOTACamry made its first public appearance inside the exhibition hall. Though not yet officially launched, the model has revealed a limited-time incentive pricing range for consumers — RMB 131,800–169,800. Notably, this is a show-exclusive promotional price, not the official MSRP; final pricing and trim-level configurations remain subject to official confirmation.

Exterior design retains the current model's overall silhouette. The front end features C-shaped LED daytime running lights paired with a single-bar full-width grille, enhancing horizontal visual width; the rear adopts matching C-shaped LED taillights and a hidden exhaust layout, preserving its refined, business-oriented character. Dimensions remain unchanged at 4950 mm × 1850 mm × 1450 mm, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm.

The interior receives a comprehensive overhaul. The center console adopts a symmetrical layout, with soft-touch materials covering large surface areas. Door panel ambient lighting has been refined, a crystal-effect trim adorns the gear selector area, and the headliner is wrapped in suede. Standard equipment across all trims includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster + 15.6-inch central touchscreen + Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 infotainment chip, promising significantly improved system responsiveness and user interaction. Mid-trim models add a head-up display (HUD) and 50W wireless charging pads for front occupants; upper-mid and higher trims feature heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, plus a 14-speaker JBL audio system. The top-tier 2.5HG trim offers a segmented panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated rear seats, and front seatbacks equipped with Xiaomi ecosystem connectivity ports for external tablet integration.

Safety features include standard TSSSenova Zhixing — covering adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam assist, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Mid- and upper-trim models add parking assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert; the flagship trim further adds lane-change assist, front cross-traffic alert, and driver status monitoring.

The powertrain remains unchanged, offering three options: 2.0L gasoline, 2.0L hybrid (Dual Engine), and 2.5L hybrid (Dual Engine). The 2.0L gasoline engine delivers a maximum output of 127 kW and peak torque of 206 N·m, paired with a Direct Shift-CVT (simulated 10-speed), achieving a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 6.03–6.29 L/100 km. The 2.0L hybrid system's engine produces 112 kW, with a system output of 145 kW, delivering 4.2–4.5 L/100 km under WLTC. The 2.5L hybrid system's engine outputs 136 kW, with a total system output of 169 kW, achieving 4.55 L/100 km WLTC fuel consumption. All hybrid variants use an E-CVT electronic continuously variable transmission (the 2.0L gasoline version uses a conventional CVT).
