With 2026 now halfway through, the auto industry's rhythm is shifting from the intensive product reveals at the Beijing Auto Show in the first half of the year to tangible deliveries. July emerges as a pivotal launch window: according to multiple sources, at least 10 new models — spanning battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), and updated internal-combustion models — will either launch or begin deliveries this month. Covering segments including large sedans, premium SUVs, intelligent MPVs, and high-performance sports cars, this wave signals intensifying competition in the second half of the year.

Diverse Powertrains, Flagship Models Target Premium Breakthroughs
The BYD Seal 08 debuts on July 2, positioned as an ocean-network flagship large sedan offering both PHEV and BEV variants. The BEV version leverages an 800V high-voltage architecture, second-generation Blade Battery, and Flash Charging technology; its dual-motor AWD variant delivers peak power of 510 kW and up to 900 km CLTC range. The PHEV version pairs a 1.5T engine with dual motors for a combined output of 400 kW, delivering 400 km CLTC pure-electric range and 1,000 km total range. With a pre-order price bracket around ¥250,000, it aims squarely at the ¥200,000–¥250,000 segment — competing directly against LYNK&CO 10, Xpeng P7, and BYD Han L.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz electric GLC launches the same day (July 8) as MB.EA platform's first model. Built on an 800V architecture, it features dual motors (front and rear) producing 310 kW combined, an 85.5 kWh battery pack, and CLTC range of 680–703 km. It includes a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, Momenta intelligent driving assistance, and AIRMATIC air suspension inherited from the S-Class. Its starting pre-order price of ¥349,000 positions it against strong rivals like Audi Q6L e-tron (from ¥279,800) and the upcoming BMW iX3.
Intelligence Standardized: High-Performance Chips and NOA Go Mainstream
The 2027 EXEED ES and FAW Bestune Yueyi 08 both launch in July, each prioritizing intelligence as a core selling point. The EXEED ES integrates NVIDIA Orin-Y chips and the Falcon 700 intelligent driving system, supported by 27 sensors — including one LiDAR — for city/highway full-scenario NOA. The Yueyi 08 adopts Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving Platform; its top trim adds a LiDAR for highway NOA and fully automated parking. Both feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chips, 2.5K center displays, and AI large-model voice interaction — highlighting the trend toward "intelligent hardware democratization."
The Xpeng MONA L03 is expected to launch within July. Designed by former Ferrari designers, it offers both EREV and BEV versions: the EREV variant achieves WLTC pure-electric range of 241–257 km; the BEV version uses 56–69 kWh battery packs for CLTC range of 505–650 km. As the second model in the MONA series, its pricing strategy and delivery cadence are widely seen as critical indicators of Xpeng's success in penetrating mass-market segments.
Traditional Players Evolve: ICE and Hybrid Models Reinforce Value Propositions
The 2027 Granvia and 2026 Changan Ford Explorer represent pragmatic upgrades from the ICE/hybrid camp. The former retains its 2.5L hybrid powertrain (181 kW max output) while adding premium features: 50W wireless charging, Nappa leather seats, a 15.6-inch rear-seat entertainment screen, and a 16-speaker audio system. The latter keeps its 2.3T engine (213 kW max output) and 10-speed automatic transmission, refining aesthetics with a borderless front grille, a 540-degree transparent chassis display, and second-row ventilated seats — aiming to win back large-SUV buyers through refined user experience.
The NIO ES8 five-seater (launching July 9), LYNK&CO 07 GT (July launch), Hongqi Tiangong 08 (launching within July), and updated Li L6 (launching within July) also expand their brand portfolios concurrently. The ES8 five-seater comes standard with a 102 kWh battery pack and 900V architecture, achieving 655 km CLTC range; the LYNK&CO 07 GT enters the wagon segment at a starting price of ¥165,800; the updated Li L6 ups battery capacity to 51 kWh, delivering 234 km WLTC pure-electric range; and the Hongqi Tiangong 08 continues with single/dual-motor RWD configurations, offering CLTC range of 565–730 km.
Notably, the DENZA Z will make its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July — the brand's first sports car, featuring a tri-motor layout (500 kW front + dual 340 kW rear), sub-2-second 0–100 km/h acceleration, Yunian-M and Yi San Fang technologies. Its China launch timeline remains unconfirmed.
