BYD Unveils Pre-Orders for Seal 06GT Intelligent Driving Edition, CLTC Range Exceeds 1,000 km

BYD has officially launched pre-orders for its all-new flagship pure-electric sedan — the Seal 06GT Intelligent Driving Edition. With a CLTC range of 1,008 km (626 miles), it starts at ¥249,900 — making it one of the most competitively priced high-end Chinese electric sedans in its class in terms of range-to-price ratio.

Reportedly, Seal 06GT (marketed domestically as "Da Han") is BYD's first D-segment flagship pure-electric sedan under its Dynasty series. It recently passed the MIIT 'List of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products' and made its global debut at the Chengdu Auto Show. Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD's Dynasty Series, previously revealed that the new model would bring "even more surprises" and confirmed its maximum CLTC range reaches 1,008 km.

The vehicle is offered in three trims: Rear-Wheel Drive Premium, Rear-Wheel Drive Flagship, and All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Both RWD variants feature a single motor (maximum power: 370 kW / 496 hp) paired with a 102.326 kWh battery pack, delivering identical CLTC ranges of 1,008 km. The AWD version adds a front motor for a system-wide peak output of 570 kW (764 hp); battery capacity remains unchanged, while CLTC range drops to 880 km (546 miles).

All trims come standard with BYD's Blade Battery 2.0 and flash-charging technology, supporting ultra-fast 1,500 kW charging — recharging from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, and completing a full 10%–97% charge in approximately nine minutes.

Dimensions measure 5,256 mm × 1,999 mm × 1,510 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm — surpassing both Tesla Model S and the Lucid Air, and approaching the long-wheelbase Mercedes Benz S Class. Key features include DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, zero-gravity front seats, and the 'Shenyan B' intelligent driving system — supporting navigation-assisted driving and Farizon automated parking, among other ADAS functions.

As BYD's latest high-end market initiative following Yangwang U8, FANG CHENG BAO, Leopard 5, and premium brand DENZA, the Seal 06GT marks the official entry of the Dynasty series into the D-segment pure-electric flagship sedan segment.
