All-New BMW X5 to Make Global Debut on June 30! iX5 Battery-Electric Version Unveiled Simultaneously

Twin X-Shaped Headlights + Illuminated Double-Kidney Grille: World Premiere of the New-Generation Design Language

BMW has officially announced that the all-new fifth-generation BMW X5 will make its global debut on June 30. The launch will showcase five powertrain variants — gasoline, plug-in hybrid, range-extended electric, battery-electric, and hydrogen-powered — though the final production lineup remains subject to official confirmation.

The teaser images reveal a bold new design: dual four-X-shaped LED headlight units, a vertically oriented double-kidney grille with illuminated bezel, and horizontal light strips integrated into the grille's flanks — all consistent with BMW's New Generation (NK) design language. The battery-electric iX5 variant has already leaked ahead of launch: its front end features X-shaped DRLs, a sportier front bumper with aerodynamic air ducts; its profile showcases two-tone multi-spoke wheels, blue multi-piston brake calipers, and flush-mounted, paddle-style door handles; and its rear displays slender taillights plus dual trapezoidal DRLs, with a clear "iX5 60" badge. Inside, the cabin includes a panoramic HUD, a center display identical to the iX3's, and an all-new compact passenger-side screen. Powertrain-wise, the iX5 is expected to adopt a front/rear dual-motor AWD system — with the front motor delivering 248 hp / 305 N·m and the rear motor 330 hp / 500 N·m — paired with a 141 kWh battery pack, offering over 500 km WLTP range. Final specifications remain pending official confirmation.
