Audi Fifth-Generation A6 Allroad Launches in Europe: From €77,250, First PHEV Model

Body Widened by 11 cm, Standard quattro + Air Suspension, 95 km Pure-EV Range

The all-new fifth-generation Audi A6 Allroad has officially launched in the European market, with first deliveries scheduled for autumn 2026 and a starting price of €77,250 (approx. RMB 605,000). As Audi’s most balanced luxury all-rounder wagon, this generational update goes far beyond minor refinements—delivering comprehensive evolution across body structure, chassis engineering, and powertrain.

Exterior styling sees the new A6 Allroad widened by 11 cm versus the standard A6 Avant, complemented by bespoke off-road cladding, 21-inch wheels, and increased ground clearance—significantly enhancing its visual presence. Its character shifts from refined elegance to robust sophistication, better aligning with the Allroad line’s core philosophy: blending highway performance with light off-road capability.

Under the chassis, the fifth-gen A6 Allroad comes standard with adaptive air suspension offering up to 55 mm of ride-height adjustment—and for the first time, full-variable rear-wheel steering is now included as standard equipment. Paired with the quattro ultra all-wheel-drive system, the vehicle delivers agile low-speed maneuverability and exceptional high-speed stability, seamlessly merging sedan-like handling precision with SUV-grade off-road versatility.

The powertrain marks a historic milestone—the A6 Allroad lineup debuts its first plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) system. Official WLTP data shows a pure-electric range of 95 km, fully covering typical urban daily commutes; on longer journeys, the 3.0T turbocharged engine and electric motor work in tandem to deliver responsive performance and improved efficiency—effectively addressing the high fuel consumption traditionally associated with large-displacement engines.

The interior carries forward Audi’s flagship digital cockpit concept: a trio of screens—12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, 10.1-inch central infotainment display, and an 8.6-inch climate control panel—form a cohesive multi-screen interface; intelligent ambient lighting supports personalized programming; seats feature ventilation and massage functions; and four-zone automatic climate control, plus NVH enhancements, further elevate suitability for both business travel and family road trips.

Notably, while initially available only in Europe, given China’s import strategy and growing demand, the Chinese-market version is highly likely to adopt the same 3.0T PHEV powertrain. This elegant yet mechanically capable, electrified luxury wagon could therefore fill a critical gap in China’s premium PHEV wagon segment.
