MG 07 PHEV Officially Launches Online, CLTC All-Electric Range of 245 km

Two trims revealed, equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and DMH hybrid system

The SAIC Motor Group's MG brand has officially launched the MG 07 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) on its Chinese official website. This move marks a further expansion of the model line's powertrain strategy following the pre-sale launch of its all-electric variant. Notably, pricing for the PHEV version has yet to be announced, while the BEV variant began pre-sales on July 29 at a starting price of RMB 125,900.

The MG 07 PHEV will be offered in two trims: the '245 Comfort' and the '245 LiDAR' versions. Its dimensions match those of the BEV model — 4,886 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,478 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,858 mm. Exterior color options remain diverse, including Morello Purple, Milia Pink, Salt Lake White, Oxford Blue, Nottingham Grey, and California Blue.

The vehicle features a plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a DMH hybrid electric motor and a 1.5L hybrid engine, paired with a CATL-supplied lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. According to CLTC testing standards, its all-electric range is 245 km, with a combined total range of 1,745 km.

Powertrain specifications include an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 152 kW (204 hp) and peak torque of 302 N·m; the gasoline engine produces up to 82 kW (110 hp) and peak torque of 135 N·m. The integrated system delivers seamless performance — zero-emission urban commuting and stress-free long-distance travel.

The cabin emphasizes intelligence and comfort: dual-layer silver-coated panoramic sunroof, ventilated/heated front seats, 256-color dynamic ambient lighting, 50W wireless phone charging, and smart power tailgate; instrumentation is handled by an 8.88-inch LCD digital cluster, while the center console features a large 15.6-inch touchscreen.

Data shows MG's overseas sales continue to lead the industry. In February, it became the first Chinese brand to surpass one million cumulative vehicle sales in the European market. According to China's new energy vehicle data tracking platform, MG delivered 93,400 units domestically in the first half of this year — a 85.9% year-on-year increase.
