All-New Kia KIA Seltos Launches in China: Starting at ¥79,900, Standard 8295P Chip Across All Trims

On August 26, the all-new Kia KIA Seltos officially launched in China, offering six trims priced from ¥109,900 to ¥149,900. During the launch period, buyers enjoy a limited-time flat price of ¥79,900–¥119,900.

Built on the third-generation i-GMP platform, the new Kia KIA Seltos is positioned as a compact SUV. It retains the overseas design language while delivering localized upgrades for the Chinese market — including cabin interaction, interior space layout, and equipment strategy. Exterior styling follows Kia's 'Contrast & Unity' design Everus, resulting in a bolder, more squared-off appearance. The front fascia features a large horizontal grille paired with Star Map-series LED projector headlights and vertical LED daytime running lights — enhancing visual distinctiveness.

The vehicle measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm — significantly longer than its predecessor — delivering improved interior shoulder room and headroom. The X-Line Sport variant adds blacked-out badging, exclusive emblems, two bespoke paint options ('Spark Orange' and 'Matte Gray'), and Geome-style alloy wheels to further accentuate individuality.

Interior localization is a key focus: all Chinese-market models come standard with a 10-inch low-mounted digital instrument cluster and a 27-inch ultra-thin, seamless wide-screen display. The screen housing uses lightweight magnesium alloy and supports driver/passenger split-screen functionality. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P automotive-grade chip (5 nm process), backed by 24 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It integrates Baidu's ERNIE Bot AI large language model and supports dual-zone voice recognition, AI-powered image generation, 'see-it-say-it' commands, and multi-platform smartphone connectivity.

For intelligent driving, higher trims feature an L2-level ADAS suite — including lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, highway driving assist, and remote smart parking — totaling nearly twenty functions, plus a 360-degree surround-view camera system. Comfort features on top trims include a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, ventilated/heated front seats, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. Charging options cover front-row wireless charging + 100W Type-C, plus 27W Type-C ports in the rear. The trunk offers 483 L of standard cargo volume, expanding to 1,454 L with the rear seats folded. It also includes Kia AddGear removable multifunction hooks and dedicated mounting slots.

Powertrain options consist of two front-wheel-drive configurations: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine mated to an IVT intelligent continuously variable transmission, producing 115 hp and 144 N·m of peak torque; and a 1.5T turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, generating 160 hp and 253 N·m of peak torque.
