GAC TOYOTA Posts 341,000 Units Sold in First Half of 2026; BZ7 Drives New Energy Growth

Recently, GAC TOYOTA released its production and sales figures for the first half of 2026: total sales reached 341,107 units, with 60,359 units sold in June alone. Notably, its all-electric brand BZ delivered 52,202 units in the same period — accounting for approximately 15.3% of GAC TOYOTA's total volume — and emerged as the core engine behind new energy growth.

Meanwhile, GAC TOYOTA's 10-millionth mass-produced vehicle rolled off the line at its new-energy factory in Nansha, Guangzhou — the pure-electric full-size sedan BZ7. Launched in March 2026, the BZ7 is offered in five trims, with an official recommended retail price range of ¥169,800–¥229,800.

Developed with deep localization for the Chinese market, the BZ7 features Momenta's R6 Flywheel Large Model advanced ADAS system and Huawei's DriveOne electric drive platform; its intelligent cockpit runs on Huawei HarmonyOS 5.0. Two battery options are available — 88.13 kWh and 71.35 kWh — with CLTC-rated all-electric ranges of 600 km, 700 km, and 710 km.

2026 GAC TOYOTA BZ7 side profile in motion

GAC TOYOTA stated that its full-year 2026 production and sales target exceeds 800,000 units, with new energy vehicle sales share aiming to surpass 20%. This target builds upon the 772,000-unit total sales achieved in 2025 and continues its "gasoline and electric equally strong" product strategy — laying groundwork for a return to annual output of over one million units.
