Denza — a premium new-energy vehicle brand under BYD — has officially unveiled its all-new large pure-electric SUV lineup via China's MIIT certification filings. This filing covers both the five-seat Denza N8 and the extended six-seat Denza N8L, signaling the brand's accelerated push into the premium family-oriented market.

Both models share a 3,075 mm wheelbase; dimensional differences are limited to length: the six-seat N8L measures 5,200 mm long, while the five-seat N8 is 5,150 mm — with identical width (1,999 mm) and height (1,820 mm). Certification documents confirm both are pure-electric vehicles, with no mention of plug-in hybrid or range-extender powertrains.
Powertrain options include three motor configurations: the top-spec variant uses a front-one/rear-two tri-motor layout — front motor outputting up to 270 kW, dual rear motors each delivering 310 kW — for a combined system output of 890 kW (1,193 hp). Two single-motor variants offer peak outputs of 320 kW and 370 kW, respectively. The battery system features the second-generation Blade Battery developed by FinDreams Battery under BYD, which the manufacturer claims supports fast charging and mitigates range loss at temperatures as low as −30°C.
For intelligent driving, the vehicles will adopt Denza's in-house God Eye 5.0 autonomous driving platform, equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR and front bumper-mounted millimeter-wave radar, enabling high-level ADAS functionality on highways and complex urban road conditions. The certification images reveal full-width dual-strip LED taillights, maintaining design continuity with Denza's existing plug-in hybrid SUV family.
According to publicly available sales data, Denza delivered 18,631 units in June 2026 — a 19.3% increase month-on-month and a 31.1% year-on-year rise — capturing 1.2% of China's total new-energy vehicle market share. The new pure-electric N8 series is expected to enter commercial sales within 2026, further expanding Denza's footprint in the premium pure-electric SUV segment.
