As a mainstream all-electric sedan targeting young users, CHANGAN NEVO (Qiyuan) A06 is expected to launch a new long-range variant in 2026, delivering a CLTC range of 770–800 km. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) list of vehicles eligible for purchase tax exemptions, this variant may debut at an estimated starting price of RMB 160,000 — potentially making it China's most affordable 800-km-class pure electric sedan.

Changan Nevo is a sub-brand under Changan Automobile focused on new energy vehicles and targeting younger demographics. According to CarNewsChina's citation of data from China EV DataTracker, the brand delivered 35,585 units in July 2026 — a 33.9% year-on-year increase. The upcoming A06 long-range variant will further expand its product lineup.
The current CHANGAN NEVO (Qiyuan) A06 launched in China in November 2025 and offers two battery-electric powertrain options: one with a maximum output of 120 kW and a 51.48-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC range of 510 km; and another with 210 kW peak power and a 63.18-kWh LFP battery, achieving a CLTC range of 630 km.

The new long-range variant will adopt an 80.02-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by the CATL–Changan joint venture. Its total pack mass is 566 kg — 145 kg lighter than BYD's comparable 81.8-kWh battery. It features a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (model TZ190XY008), producing up to 245 kW (329 hp), rear-wheel drive, a top speed of 188 km/h, and includes a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor.
Positioned as a mid-size sedan, CHANGAN NEVO (Qiyuan) A06 measures 4885 × 1916 × 1496 mm (L × W × H), with a wheelbase of 2922 mm. The long-range variant has a curb weight of 1908 kg and offers two wheel options: 225/55 R18 and 245/45 R19.

The current A06 is priced between RMB 109,900 and RMB 149,900 (approximately USD 16,300–22,200). Industry insiders anticipate the long-range version will start around RMB 160,000 (approx. USD 23,700). If launched as planned, the model could significantly alleviate range anxiety among Volkswagen consumers and reinforce its value proposition against rivals in the same EV segment.
