Changan CS55 PLUS BlueCore Hybrid Launches: From ¥79,900, 1,500 km Combined Range

Features iDE-H hybrid architecture; urban fuel consumption as low as 3.89 L/100 km

On August 18, Changan Auto officially launched the CS55 PLUS BlueCore Hybrid. The model is offered in four trims, with official manufacturer suggested retail prices ranging from ¥98,900 to ¥117,900; limited-time promotional pricing starts at ¥79,900 and goes up to ¥103,900. As Changan's latest entry into the oil-electric hybrid compact SUV segment, this vehicle avoids both pure EV and plug-in hybrid routes — instead adopting a deeply electrified intelligent hybrid architecture designed for high-efficiency, anxiety-free energy-saving mobility.

Design Retains Brand Identity, with Hybrid-Specific Details

Exterior styling features the all-new "Jiangyun Die Lang" (Rippling Yangtze Aesthetic) borderless front grille, forming an overall V-shaped decorative structure that visually echoes Changan's brand logo. Star-ring daytime running lights enhance front-end recognition. The side profile retains the design language of the current Zongheng Wanxiang models, equipped with newly designed low-drag five-spoke wheels and chrome window trim. Dimensions are 4,550 mm (L) × 1,868 mm (W) × 1,675 mm (H), with a wheelbase of 2,656 mm — identical to the gasoline-powered version. The rear adopts a full-width taillight, dual exhaust outlets, and a roof-mounted spoiler, preserving the sporty family identity of the CS55 PLUS lineup.

Dual-Screen Cockpit + AI Voice — Full Feature Set Standard Across Trims

The interior maintains an enveloping layout, standardizing a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central infotainment display — the Star-Ring SmartLink Dual Screen — supporting Apple CarPlay, Carlink, Huawei HiCar, and Honor Connect. Integrated with an AI voice large language model, it supports both Gaode and Baidu navigation, plus 50W wireless fast charging and scenario-based Beijing X6 functions. Seats feature Nappa-textured leather; both driver and front passenger seats offer three-level ventilation and heating. The front passenger seat adds an 8-point massage function and an adjustable leg rest — delivering a true "Queen Seat" experience. The cabin includes 23 storage locations, while trunk capacity stands at 475 L (expandable to 1,415 L with rear seats folded).

1.5T Hybrid Powertrain + AI Cloud Intelligence Control: Real-World Fuel Consumption of 3.89 L

The powertrain uses Changan's self-developed iDE-H deeply electrified intelligent hybrid architecture, combining a 1.5T engine and electric motor. The engine delivers peak power of 110 kW, paired with an 180 kW high-flux, high-power hybrid e-drive and 500-bar ultra-high-pressure direct injection technology. Coupled with AI cloud intelligence control algorithms, the official urban-cycle fuel consumption figure is as low as 3.89 L/100 km, with a combined range of 1,500 km. For driver assistance, all trims come standard with the TianShu Navigation System, including full-speed adaptive cruise control, automated lane change assist, forward/rear collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Editor's View: China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) data shows sustained expansion of the oil-electric hybrid market under ¥200,000 — especially pronounced in the ¥150,000–¥200,000 segment — with strong growth potential also emerging below ¥150,000. The Changan CS55 PLUS BlueCore Hybrid enters with a differentiated hybrid technical approach, balancing low fuel consumption, extended range, and a highly intelligent cockpit — establishing a clear value proposition against mainstream joint-venture and domestic competitors.
