Changan Nevo Q06 Unveiled: Mid-to-Upper-Size BEV SUV, Launching in September

On July 13, Changan Nevo officially unveiled its all-new mid-to-upper-size battery electric vehicle (BEV) SUV — the Qiyuan Q06. Built on the SDA TianShu architecture, the Q06 comes standard with laser radar and is equipped with Changan's proprietary TianShu Navigation Assisted Driving system. According to official information, the vehicle will launch in September 2026.

'Fuguang' Aesthetics + Advanced ADAS: Dual Upgrades in Design & Technology

Exterior styling adopts the 'Fuguang' (Sunlight Embracing) design language: a closed front grille pairs with a star-ring full-width LED light bar, while a three-section air intake enhances sportiness. A roof-mounted laser radar — standard across all trims — provides hardware support for the TianShu Navigation Assisted Driving system. At the rear, a split full-width taillight and a sporty rear diffuser further emphasize performance orientation.

From the side, subtly flared wheel arches, matte-gold multi-spoke wheels, and orange brake calipers create visual harmony. Semi-concealed door handles and roof rails add depth and dimensionality. Overall dimensions measure 4,837 mm × 1,970 mm × 1,670 mm, with a 2,940-mm wheelbase — positioning it firmly in the mid-to-upper-size SUV segment.

Wraparound Cabin + 800V High-Voltage Platform: Balancing Comfort & Performance

The interior features an upper-dark/lower-light two-tone wraparound cabin, accented with chrome trim, a slim digital instrument cluster, a floating central touchscreen, and concealed HVAC vents. Wraparound ambient lighting, a fold-down rear entertainment screen, adjustable rear seat angles, and wireless phone charging collectively elevate both interaction and ride comfort.

Powertrain options include dual-motor variants — each delivering peak output of 165 kW — and single-motor versions rated at 225 kW and 245 kW respectively. All models use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, paired with an 800V silicon carbide (SiC) high-voltage platform and 6C fast charging capability.

The chassis employs an all-aluminum front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension setup, complemented by Changan's Taihang distributed electric drive system — designed to optimize ride quality and dynamic responsiveness.

Strengthening Product Portfolio: Targeting the RMB 200,000 High-ADAS Segment

Currently, Changan Nevo's SUV lineup spans compact to mid-to-upper-size segments via the Q05, Q07, and E07 — with pricing ranging from RMB 79,900 to RMB 309,900. The Qiyuan Q06 fills a strategic gap in the ~RMB 200,000 mid-to-upper-size BEV SUV segment. Its standard laser radar and TianShu Navigation Assisted Driving system directly address growing consumer demand for advanced driver-assistance features. Upon launch, the Q06 is expected to help Changan Nevo solidify its core sales base.
