BYD's all-new flagship pure-electric sedan — the Han EV (DaHan) — has been unveiled for the first time, drawing widespread attention. As the D-segment flagship of BYD's Dynasty series, the Han EV has not yet been officially launched but has already appeared in the MIIT new vehicle registration directory and was recently captured on public roads during real-world testing, confirming its full exterior design.
According to Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD's Dynasty Series, the Han EV will make its official debut at the Chengdu International Motor Show from August 21–30, 2026. He teased that "more surprises await on-site," though final pricing and market launch timing remain unannounced.
Officially confirmed CLTC range stands at 1,008 km, enabled by BYD's next-generation Blade Battery 2.0 and fast-charging technology. The new battery supports ultra-fast charging up to 1,500 kW — recharging from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, and completing a full 10%–97% charge in only nine minutes.
The car measures 5,256 mm × 1,999 mm × 1,510 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm — larger than both TeslaModel S and the Lucid Air, and approaching the long-wheelbase version of Mercedes Benz S Class. Powertrain options include a single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant (max power: 370 kW) and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration (combined max power: 570 kW).
As the sedan counterpart to the flagship SUV Han Tang, the Han EV is expected to carry a price range similar to that of the Han Tang — whose pre-order starting price is RMB 250,000. The Han Tang has already secured over 100,000 orders and began delivering vehicles to its first batch of customers last month.
