Xpeng MONA L03 SUV Opens Pre-orders with In-House AI Chip

On July 2, 2026, Xpeng officially launched nationwide pre-orders for the MONA L03 SUV. As the first SUV in the MONA series, it offers six trim levels, with pre-order prices ranging from RMB 143,800 to RMB 165,800 (approx. USD 21,100–24,400). The official market launch is scheduled for July 16.

Design: Global Team Leadership, Drag Coefficient as Low as 0.228

The MONA L03 was designed by a global team led by Juan Ma López — former exterior design director at Ferrari. Its dimensions measure 4,650 mm × 1,920 mm × 1,600 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The vehicle underwent 22 aerodynamic optimizations, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.228 — reportedly adding up to ~59.3 km to its CLTC-rated range.

Smart Cockpit: 15.6-inch 2.5K Display + 26.8-inch W-HUD

Inside, the MONA L03 features a 15.6-inch 2.5K-resolution central touchscreen and a 26.8-inch wide-angle head-up display (W-HUD). It integrates Xpeng's in-house "Turing" AI chip — delivering up to 1,500 TOPS of computing power — and supports the second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model to enhance intelligent driving assistance.

Other cabin highlights include a 20-speaker audio system (peak output >1,000 W), zero-gravity seats with 14-point massage, 256-color ambient lighting, and RNC road-noise active cancellation. The vehicle offers 40 storage locations, a 539-L trunk (expandable to 1,640 L), and a 102-L front trunk.

Powertrain: Dual EREV and BEV Options

The MONA L03 is available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) configurations:

  • EREV variant: Equipped with a 1.5L range extender (max. output 70 kW) and a drive motor (peak output 183 kW / 246 hp); CLTC pure-electric range is 315 km, total range reaches 1,330 km, and WLTC fuel consumption is 5.16 L/100 km;
  • BEV variant: Features an 183 kW (246 hp) motor paired with CALB LFP batteries in two capacities — 56 kWh and 69 kWh — delivering CLTC ranges of 525 km and 625 km respectively; 0–100 km/h acceleration takes 6.6 seconds, with energy consumption rated at 11.9 kWh per 100 km.

All variants come standard with DCC adaptive dampers and upgraded "Motion-Sickness Prevention Mode 2.0" for enhanced ride comfort.
