Recently, DENZA Automobile officially announced the over-the-air (OTA) V1.4.0 software update for the DENZA N8L (non-fast-charging variant), now rolling out to users. This update spans four key domains — smart cockpit, safety protection, navigation & mobility, and driving control — introducing 12 new features and experience enhancements, further reinforcing the vehicle's practicality and human-centered interactivity as a family-oriented large six-seat SUV.

In the smart cockpit domain, this update significantly elevates in-car entertainment and interaction quality. The system now offers four mic-free karaoke audio effects — Original Voice, Chipmunk Voice, Orc Voice, and Intelligent Harmony — enabling fun, spontaneous singing without external microphones. Also launched is the 'Xiao Shi Digital Avatar Voice Interaction' feature: upon voice activation, a dynamic digital avatar appears on the infotainment screen, strengthening emotional connection between driver and vehicle.
Safety and convenience are central themes of this OTA release. A highly anticipated addition is the scheduled activation function for Sentry Mode: users can define daily time windows for automatic activation — e.g., overnight or during high-risk parking periods — balancing security effectiveness with battery conservation. Parking scenarios also see tangible improvements: the new Parking Assistant now proactively notifies users of parking orders; upon entering a lot, the system automatically identifies the parking space and pre-displays the fee, enabling one-tap payment via the infotainment screen — eliminating the need to scan QR codes. Additionally, the 360° camera interface now integrates quick-access controls for folding/unfolding side mirrors, drastically shortening operation steps.
Navigation experience has also evolved. A new toggle — 'Allow Navigation Announcements During Calls' — lets users flexibly enable or disable voice guidance while on a call, ensuring both call clarity and critical intersection alerts remain intact in complex traffic. 'Detour-friendly' search results are now displayed in list format, with detour time and distance clearly shown at a glance. When searching for charging stations, the system intelligently recommends nearby fast-charging locations and supports quick filtering by 'Fast Charging Available/Not Available', streamlining energy replenishment decisions.
Driving assistance and fine-tuned details have likewise been refined: air conditioning fan speed auto-adjustment logic during voice calls has been optimized to minimize interference; steering smoothness at highway speeds has been improved for greater confidence behind the wheel; the DiLink smart cockpit UI has undergone visual and layout restructuring for clearer information hierarchy; and front position lamps now feature a subtle breathing animation when the vehicle is in Park (P), adding a touch of tech-inspired ceremony to static parking.
